    Sad Sign Of The Times

If there's any demand, the parts suppliers for Ram will feed the aftermarket for any gaps that exist, I think. Hell, if the Cubans can do it...

    Hadn't thought about the cops,lol

Yeah, I think we had that conversation here before. Or I did with someone, anyway. The newest ones did have it as an option, which is interesting because our fleet rep told us it was physically impossible to get the hemi, 8 speed and AWD transfer case to all physically fit in the car together...

    Hadn't thought about the cops,lol

We'll still pursue for anything above a traffic infraction, but our decision making on when it's too dangerous for everyone involved has certainly evolved away from the 'chase them until the wheels fall off' to 'maybe I don't need to do 40mph over the speed limit the wrong way down a 1 way...

Interceptors are quick in urban areas. You can't blow through red lights even in a pursuit, you have to drive with due regard which typically means slowing and clearing the intersection. AWD and gearing in those can get you down to safe speed and back up quicker than you'd think. That said...

Gas Mileage on 2025 Turbo I-6?

I wonder how much their increased elevation played in to that. Figure at that altitude, NA motors are down roughly 15% on power since they have a tougher time dealing with the thinner air. Less air needs less fuel but makes less power. Interesting test, though, be interesting to see if the...

SE and Mid Michigan 4x4 trails

Question on "the mounds". It says all vehicles need an ORV permit to use that area. Does that include street trucks/Jeeps or just UTVs and the like?

    PW redesign wishlist

You can on the Canada build and price page. $200 option when I did it. I just wanted to see if it was something you could easily retrofit into a US truck, but there was no picture of it.

    Hadn't thought about the cops,lol

Keep in mind only the 'interesting' ones get much play on TV or online. Without going way too far in depth, high horsepower isn't as big an advantage as you'd think in areas with enough resources to really chase. I've "caught" race motorcycles just by boxing them in and using air ops until...

    PW redesign wishlist

Interesting. Do you have a picture of them and where they mount? I went to the Canada build/price and selected them but don't see it in the computer generated view of the interior.

RamBox® Cargo Management System - how common is it?

That and a telescoping steering wheel are all it would take to make my PW perfect. I'd love the option to barn door open the tailgate for everything from taking groceries out to shoveling river rock.

    PW redesign wishlist

It isn't on 2024 and down. Are you thinking of the VSIM? That's the only 'upfitter' option on the PW. Non-PW can get the aux upfitter switches, but the PW uses that space for the axle locks.

$70k Truck Falling Apart at 38k Miles

*For me* the shiny new features have jumped the shark. There's no current production Ram 1500 I want, and frankly that goes for most manufacturers. I don't want lane assist, I don't want automatic brake application, I don't want my truck watching me drive, I don't want automatic over the air...

$70k Truck Falling Apart at 38k Miles

Only "lemon" I've ever had was a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee that was to be for my wife. Electrical issues that the dealership could never resolve after 3 rips resulted in us swapping it out on a loaded 2008 Ford Taurus that lasted her until 2015 with the only repair being a wheel bearing. Never...

You guys south of the border need to real California in,lol

I lived in Qatar for 2 years and that was a law then, except it wasn't a one time alert. It just dinged constantly. You could still speed, and everyone did, you just had to turn up your radio. It was also well before any sort of gps monitoring, so it was just set to the maximum speed limit in...
