Great job. I plasti-dipped my rims over a year ago and they still look good.
Never occurred to me to do the antenna; now I have one more job this weekend. Good idea.
When I ordered my truck in '22, there was a slight difference between what I could build on the website and what was available when I sat down with the dealer to get the order in. In my particular case, the "Utility Group" (tow hooks and fog lights) was not available as an option online but I...
I had a 2007 with the 4.7 and my fuel pump went to sleep around 230,000. It's never a good time or place to get stranded but it left me in a pretty bad spot (of course).
I like your way of thinking. People in my area seem to have money for everything but they won't invest 10 cents in...
Good points! I'm ok assuming the factory filled it correctly because the transmission is operating well (knocks on wood). Didn't think about the filter though
I guess I'll have to rethink my "hack" :D
Put me firmly in the camp that believes the trans fluid should be changed every 60K despite the "lifetime" assurances.
With regard to the procedure, I have a RAV4 that has a complicated routine to accomplish a change. I'm not sure why these procedures i.e. leveling, heating fluid to a temp...
Yes, you're right but the point is that Stellantis will have to PAY millions as a result of their behavior. Simple fact of life: you can't correct bad behavior without consequence. It won't matter to Stellantis WHO gets the millions, only that they were forced to pay it.
If they wind up with a...
I fully understand your apprehension to mess with it but I would change the fluid. Not a flush but a drain and refill. I also don't buy the "lifetime fluid" nonsense. If you're not comfortable doing the work yourself, use a local mechanic that you can trust.
They make the process somewhat...
I fully agree with you that it's not a good idea to turbocharge the 3.6 or any NA engine that hasn't been designed for it from the get go.
I don't want to derail this thread but I have to comment on your praise (I think) of GM's 2.7. GM, of all people, have not discovered how to defeat the laws...
I think you're mistaken. There's no way the battery cost that much. I think it's around $2,500 (that's assuming you can even find a new one for sale). The price you stated is more in line with full EV batteries e.g. Tesla.
BTW, I'm no fan of e-torque or any hybrid for that matter...
Sorry, was thinking of JD Power. I don't have a subscription to CR. RAM beat Ford in 2 of the years I was able to find and never ranked higher than Chevy.
It's funny because your dialogue and comments seem eerily familiar as well: "Ford and Chevy produce an inferior product so RAM being better than inferior is a win".
I'm not sure how that point of view makes much sense. How does setting the bar so low incentivize RAM to make improvements? What...
I'm definitely willing to keep an open mind. I did some research before I purchased my truck and I was aware that the 3.6 had troubles in the past. I thought that was all sorted out so shame on me. Apparently, RAM can't produce a good engine. There's a class action lawsuit for the 5.7 and 6.4 as...
You're not alone; I have a '22 RC but I went with the long bed. Family, friends, strangers etc think I'm an odd duck for driving a RC. Appearance is everything to the shallow masses.
I recently brought the truck to RAM for a software update/recall. The service guy comes out, looks at the truck...
