What did you do with your 4th Gen this week?
Drove the rig to lower Canadia (Ontario) to wondrous and beautiful Lake of the Woods to do a little fishing for a week. It's a tad over 1400 miles round trip up and down I-29 through the eastern Dakotas. I towed a small 2K lbs boat along with all the supplies needed for a week on the lake...- NETim

Hand gun/pistol mounts
I don't care for off body carry. if you leave the vehicle, it necessitates moving the gun back to your holster which naturally means more gun handling. Anytime a gun is handled the chances for a ND/AD increase. If you leave the gun in the vehicle, the odds of it being stolen increase. -

New brakes and weird sound can’t pinpoint
I performed the Wagner break in with the OEX pads on all four corners. Thus far, they're working fine. -
My Back-up Camera is Back "Up" - tailgate camera fix for almost nothing
Deoxit is the best stuff ever. Kinda pricey but worth the $$$.- NETim

What did you do with your 4th Gen this week?
Changed the oil, made a mess. Installed a Royal Purple 20-820 for the first time. I think it yielded another 1, maybe 2 psi oil pressure increase. Certainly didn't lose any ground anyway.- NETim

Leveling transmission for fluid change
I did a DNF on my '14 yesterday. After draining, I did a fill with all 4 tires on the ground. Then I leveled out the transmission. (Rear tires were about 10" off the ground.) I filled it again. I wasn't able to get much more into the transmission at that point. I was able to check...- NETim

Yes, the noise goes away after the shift is complete. It's a very brief noise, just the duration of the shift. Once the ZF has warmed up a little, I don't hear it anymore.- NETim

I've noticed that my ZF8, when cold, will sometimes make a noise when making the 1-2 upshift, most likely to be heard when "getting on it" or starting from a stop facing an incline. Easy accel on level ground nothing unusual is noted. Truck is lightly loaded. The transmission shifts fine...- NETim

Cabin Air Filter
I use Bosch paper filters. I tried an off brand Amazon carbon filter and it stunk up the truck with some nasty chemical smell. Took a few weeks for the odor to go away.
