Tried adding Hot Shots. Now stuck with a hose sticking out of my fuel tank <sigh>
No joy. Since the stuck hose is fairly small and very flexible, I *can* stick a normal diesel hose in. But the trap door is stuck. I think that I must have jammed it when I tried to pull out the stuck hose. I guess it is hammering time. <sigh> I was hoping that there was some kind of a trick.- paustin

I tried that without success. I added a picture. Is what you see the "trap door" you reference? I can easily get a screwdriver under it, but is seems very solidly stuck. Neither trying to swing it out of the way, nor tapping on that bump/extrusion did anything. I would have thought that it...- paustin

Can you describe the trap door mechanism? I have a picture of it from the top. I just attached it to my original post. I see what *appears* to be a trap door, but it is absolutely not budging. I tried tapping on it with a screwdriver and it seems completely solid. I also tried prying it...- paustin

That is ridiculous. So, in order to not get arrested for being a ******, all the ladies are required to have their butts tattoo'd with "not a **********". You know, just to make it clear. I suspect that LEO was having a bad day.- paustin

I will find out what they have, though since the spec sheet says "Trailer Brake Control", so I am assuming that it is stock. Would that be sufficient? Do you have a recommendation for a trailer that long/heavy?- paustin

Thank you all for your responses, I appreciate them! To summarize, it looks like the truck will do the job with that drive train. The rig is 24k GVRW, and I *think* it is 20k dry (though maybe it is 18, I'll check). Someone mentioned Engine Brakes, and the truck includes it. Someone...- paustin

Thank you for the response! The DRV 5th wheel has a GVRW of 24,000. I think that it comes in at 20,000 dry. That give me 4,000 of leeway. Not as much as I'd like, but I can likely work with it.- paustin
