If you have an old sleeping bag or large pillow, stuff it down between the bed and cap and go drive it. This should tell you if the plate will be a solution. -

One of my favorite of the "tall tales". If the pump sits at the top of the tank, with the pump motor protruding downward a couple of inches, after fuel quantity dips below 3/4 tank, the pump is not being "cooled" by the remaining fuel. Most here will disagree with me on this...But....I am of the belief that anything over 100K is borrowed time. Gas engines owe you 100K. Most here disagree with that, but I will never change my mind on it. If I were you, I'd consider myself lucky...Then I'd trade it in on a new one.- Scottly

2024 Ram 2500 diesel Tire Choice
If leveled up front, you can run 35/12.50's on it and they clear. I run Ridge Grapplers...Love them. Will they clear with chains? I don't know...I'm in Fl and I don't have that problem. :favorites37: :cheers:- Scottly
