Just about all the car manufacturers do this now. And some even share/sell data to the various insurance companies. I like that if you tell them to stop the ability to get help and share data with the police will also stop. I just wear my anti-data collection suit every time I start and drive the truck.
It is the latest in tin foil fashion. Great in the winter keeps you warm, but in the summer it sucks due to the retained body heat. I'm working on a looser knit foil suit for summer, then I will market the new and improved summer suit. R+D is expensive and time-consuming, please give funds to my GoFundMe account. :)

The truck gathers data and sends it to the mothership no matter what subscriptions you have. The more subscriptions you have the more data corporate can sell as their side hustle.

When you sign for the truck you acknowledge the privacy policy and agree to whatever it is (whether you've read it or not)...and it's usually on in your favor as much as it legally has to.

You can opt-out of a lot of it but it is not an easy path to find; which is most likely by design. People will not make the effort leaving more data for corporate to bathe in and line their pockets.
