    Drum brakes don't work

Hello everyone, Well I finally got my locked rear brakes fixed and bled. Everything was looking good until I jacked her up to see if anything was actually happening. Nothing was happening. I pulled the drum off and when I pressed the brakes the wheel cylinder did not go. It looked like it was...

    Flooring ideas?

Hello everyone, The floor in the cab of my truck is a terrible rusty mess. There's the factory rubberized carpet stuff all over and it is cracked and rotten and traps water which causes rust. My plan is to pull it all out, spray with a rust inhibitor, and patch the holes with sheet metal, but I...

    After a good wax...

I thought my paint was pretty much good as gone, but I had some pre polish and some turtle wax and the weather was right so I figured I'd see how it looked. I was pleasantly surprised, even the tan sides have a good satin finish to them. Didn't know how good my truck looked under all that wear!

What brand of suspension do you recommend?

Hello everyone, I need to replace basically all the suspension components and/or bushings on my 86 power ram 250. I want something that will do okay off road but not break the bank. I'm not looking to lift it. What brand of suspension would you recommend? Thanks, David

Did the power rams have a hood ornament?

My 86 power ram 250 has no hood ornament or holes for one. The previous owner told me power rams didn't have them, but I keep seeing pictures of ones that do. Did they put them on or do I have a replacement hood?

Power Ram 250 runs and drives, but won't get faster than 40 mph

Well, I finally got my 86 power ram to run today so I took it for a drive. It ran pretty well, but it felt like it was working really hard on the hills and wouldn't get above 15 up the steep hills. On flat ground it would go 40 if I completely floored the pedal. It shifted from first to second...

    More carburetor problems...

Hello everyone, I spent all day yesterday rebuilding the carburetor on my 86 power ram 318. I got it all back together and put on the truck. Now it only starts it I pump the accelerator pedal to squirt some gas down in there and it only runs for a few seconds. I don't know if I hooked up all the...

Power valve in carburetor completely stuck

Hello everyone, I'm rebuilding the carburetor on my 86 dodge w 250 318 right now. Everything went pretty well until I got to this valve. It is stuck really tight and I completely stripped the brass screw head with my screwdriver. It's been soaking in pb blaster for a few hours now and just won't...

Can't find rebuild kit for carburetor

Hello I have a 1986 dodge w250 with a holley 2 barrel carb. It runs terribly and doesn't idle so I am planning on rebuilding the carburetor. The carburetor has these numbers stamped on it: R 40214 4324629 2555 I don't know which number is the model number, but I cannot find a rebuild kit that...

    New Dodge owner

Hello everyone Im new to this forum. I just bought an 86 dodge ram w250 as my first truck. It currently needs a carburetor rebuild but seems like a solid and mostly original truck. The seller told me I should just buy a 4 barrel carb and do away with the two barrel. I don't know a whole lot...
