    When I did my 2006 CTD I flushed the cooling system with 8 gallons of distilled water until it ran clean then added 3 gallons of concentrate then top off as needed with distilled water.

    If you flush out all of the OAT you can use what ever you want, can you get Zerex G05 as I have used it, if not then Red, but its your choice...

    Is there another reason as to why your not happy that your truck will not or is not showing towed miles, have you been told your not showing towing milage so your not working the engine hard enough?

    I used Rotella T-6 in my old 2006 5.9 CTD and based on using it for over 10 years in that engine, my self I would change the oil out every 12 months or 7500 miles which ever comes first unless you have UOA that tells you otherwise.

    As far as the $8700 HPFP problem it's FORD who failed to do what Ram on its trucks with the CP-4, Ram recalled & replaced the crappy CP-4 HPFP that Ford ( last I heard still uses) even though they know it has problems, instead of doing the right thing they passed the cost on to the truck owner
