    Just go ahead and replace it... I recommend a Continental-branded belt... The one on my truck is "Made in UK." Keep the old one for a spare unless it's toast!

    Turns off on its own...while driving...

    Could be a loose ignition wire in the steering column. My truck would cutoff when I adjusted the tilt steering toward the dash. Looked like my hot wire from the ignition was getting pulled a bit when I adjusted the steering.

    Baldwin B2 in my 5.9 with Valvoline high mileage semi synthetic. 218k on original engine. Before that was using WIX which works great as well. I buy them by the dozen and change every 6 months or 3k miles.
