3.6L Radiator Fan Problem?
What I've noticed on my 3.6, is that turning on the A/C doesn't automatically start the fan. After the a/c runs a short time, the line pressure will build up and the fan will slowly start, climb in speed, slow down, then stop until pressure rises. This is on cooler days. Truck pulling to the left
If you haven't yet, rotate the front tires to the rear. The caster, camber, and toe, were out a decent amount on the right. With the tire worn, that could be your pull. Sears (Craftsman) almost always had Tecumseh engines on them. Tecumseh usually had more power than Briggs, much harder to start, and on 8 HP and up, were prone to throwing rods.- Yardbird

Pennzoil and Quaker State ruined themselves with their sludge making oil years ago. IMHO, they have not distanced themselves enough from those times with their marketing, IE, "This isn't your grampaw's/dad's oil. It's completely new technology from top to bottom". Good luck finding anything for 2k that runs these days. I had a pole knocked down on my car by a truck a few years ago. The insurance payout wouldn't get me anything close to as good a car as I had. No matter how good your truck is, you might get 3 to 4k from an insurance company. That's an 8 to 10k repair at a cheap body shop, without a paint job, if anyone will even straighten the most likely diamonded and bent frame. I doubt anyone that runs a legit body shop would cut off and...- Yardbird

0-40 PUP Oil
In the 70's through the 2000's I felt the same way. I wouldn't use Pennzoil to start a fire with. But, the Pennzoil Ultra Platinum is some really good oil. I was very pleasantly surprised at the UOA from my truck with PUP 5w30.- Yardbird

The main cause for one lifter ticking, is when that lifter is prone to leak down, and the engine just happens to stop in a position where that particular lifter has a valve depressed, and leaks down. Those TP filters were bypass filters, simular to those on the big trucks. There used to be big canisters on big trucks that bled off a small amount of oil to finely filter. Three Camshaft replacements within a year
One and done? I hope not. Would like to hear more. It sounds like the dealer is just changing cams without digging to find out why they are suddenly going out after 52k miles. That research takes time you know. Can't let it dig into the overall pay. That is where flat rate hurts the consumer.- Yardbird
