    This was a common problem with the Gen 2 Durangos. 95% of the time, it is a near dead battery since Dodge is extremely voltage sensitive. About 3% is a sticky torque converter. The other 2% are random other issues.

    On my 2003, I was having a similar problem, but mine came down to G107 (upper right corner of the engine bay on the firewall (upper left if looking from the front)). I took the nut off and polished up the stud and terminal with a steel brush for a Dremel and it worked fine after.

    The new belt is the same PN as the worn one that doesn't squeal. The pulley photo doesn't look like much of an improvement, but the comparison photo shows a huge difference in rib width. Old squeaky is on the left and new on the right.
