Push button start, truck won't shut off

This is a common problem on the new Darts. There's a microswitch that should make contact when you shift to park. After hundreds of on/offs it gets wonky. The solution is to cut the wires to that microswitch and solder them together. Works on the Darts, hopefully the same for Rams with a console...

    The unwanted step child car.

My son has a Crossfire and is quite happy with it. It's his summer car and he bought it used several years ago. We have done a few things which one would expect with over 70,000 miles. No problem getting Mercedes parts and so far no special tools needed. It wasn't hard to work on, not really...

I bought this years ago when I had my 2003 Dakota. It's a vibration damper installer tool for the 4.7 and 5.7 engines. It' new in the original plastic bag with the forcing lubricant. Mopar Essential Tools wants a lot more than I paid for it. It's yours for $75. PM if interested...

    Leaking pinion seal

My 2018 Ram 1500 with only 24,000 miles has developed a pinion seal leak. I have done a pinion seal on my 2003 Dakota. I have the FSM and I see that the pinion nut is staked. Exactly what socket do I need to remove that pinion nut. It has 12 points and all my sockets are 6 point.

What scan tool can reset steering angle sensor?

If you're mechanically inclined, it's not difficult to play with the tie rod ends to get the steering wheel straight. Get under there and look at how the tie rod ends adjust. Have your wife or friend hold the steering wheel straight and then a little to the left as you watch. Then loosen each...

    Simple Brass Key

Put the grease on the rotating inner casting not the pins or springs. Grease eventually dries up and may hinder the springs from moving the pins.

    Same size tension clamps?

I like spring clamps and don't understand why they're hated. My '95 and '98 Neons still have the originals. 2nd radiator on the '95 and 3rd radiator on the '98, I just reuse the clamps. The '95 spent the 1st half of it's life in the south while the '98 has always been in the rust belt. Worm...

    ABS pulse’s excessively

Did you by any chance remove any sensors during the pad replacement? If so, it's possible you didn't put a sensor back correctly. There shouldn't be any misalignment and the torque needs to be correct. One of my Neons had abs and if the sensor wasn't perfect, it would prematurely engage the pulsing.

    Simple Brass Key

I looked up the part number and found a pic of the lock. Looks like it includes a bunch of springs and pins or tumblers. You need to figure out which cuts are on your key.
