2014 ram 5.7 throttle lag?

Do these trucks normally have lag when accelerating? This is 1st time driving my truck since buying it and it's got pretty slow reaction timing if you get into the throttle.

If you give it another 25% throttle there shouldn't be much lag, but in my experience if you go from cruising to pinning it down, there is a little hesitation. I think it is just trying to figure out what gear to be in so it's not shifting under full load.

Mine seems to be snappy but it’s also a 2019. I’d almost say check the air filter, plugs, and along that line see if it’s just a part that needs a lil tlc.

New to this truck, just did the cam swap so I was testing it real quick, hit 10mph then WOT had a delay response, I will take it out for another drive in a few days and mess with it see what happens

I did all my plugs. Haven't checked the air filter yet maybe it's clogged, think this truck was sitting for about 2 years before I bought it

Good luck… stock cam swap or upgrade .. maybe need a tune, if you upgraded the cam.

Get Sean/Hemifever to bump up your throttle response in the tune
