Does anyone know if this filter being sold on Amazon is a real one or one of those counterfeit ones?

Link? There are dozens or more sites selling these and I'm not sure if you meant to ask about a specific one. Buying parts on Amazon, Ebay, etc. from unknown vendors is always a roll of the dice. If you want to be totally sure just go to NAPA or a trusted online site like Rockauto.

Typically on Amazon.... counterfeit more times than not.

Buy from Geno's garage or any reputable dealer. I get mine next day.
