"Ship Mode" shuts down the the background electronics to minimize the parasidic drain of the battery while the vehicle sits in the shipping yards.

I would imagine the same would work with the Gen5 trucks.

Something most of the general public would never see.

Too many electronics these days, EVERYTHING is sensors and readings and outputs etc... Super advanced (too bad trade pay doesn't keep up) ... But it keeps the battery from draining while sitting/shipping etc... Some of these vehicles have a fair distance to travel and wait around in ports and yards for quite a while.
