Question 2016 Ram..

Just bought a 2016 Ram.. I Fillup with gas showed and the indicator read 510 mileage. I drove it out of the gas station, then the mileage read 498.. Also when idling it sucks a lot of gas.
Any ideas why it does that or suggests on how to fix it??

Mileage readings fluctuate based on velocity, rpm. Of course it can't show an infinite range so when sitting still it uses estimates based on programming. Not sure how you know it is sucking a lot of gas idling. You would have to let it idle for hours and then refill without moving to get a calculation. If you are thinking this by watching the data displayed, don't get dismayed. It can't really give a good number as I mentioned above.
