Had my 'Check Engine' light come one two days ago at just over 6000 miles. Just finished a 1500 mile trip across country. Looked in the book and it said to give it a few days because it could be caused by a loose gas cap, inferior fuel, etc. Two days later the light went out. Coincidentally, I had just fueled up at a QT station in Buckeye, AZ the previous afternoon so I'll assume that was the problem.

How was the trip?
Piece of cake. That U-haul cargo trailer full of HHG towed like a dream. If course, it only weighed like 5000#. Spent the first night in Abilene, TX, the next night in Alamogordo, NM, and made it to Buckeye, AZ by 1600 the 3rd day.

Another unfortunate issue is that right before I left I had the oil changed and my mech found an "ooze" coming from my rear main seal. So, I have to get that fixed soon before it becomes an actual problem.

Glad it didn't happen while on your trip.
Me, too. And I got gas at some pretty shady stations coming cross country so it's funny how it waited until here to decide it didn't like the local flavor.

Bummer about the seal. Was that Uhaul a dual axle?
Yes, GVWR 4400#. Dang thing didn't have any true tie-downs inside, just a rail along each side at about hip level and the one on the port side only had little slots in it to push through like a 3/8" rope. So of course everything above that level had nothing to keep it from shifting so about 3 times a day we were stopping and readjusting stuff. Had to be careful opening the door or junk would fall out on the ground. I lost a nice mounted Widgeon because it got squashed when a box fell on it.

Poor little widgeon gave up the ghost 2 times! Beautiful ducks. I have one mounted as well at my deer camp.
