    Door hinge bearing

I just checked all 4 doors on my 2500. They all look just like the photo Daw14 posted, except no rust as they have been kept well lubed. The little roller is right near the top of the shaft it rotates on, on all doors.

Did Lubegard Biotech kill your hemi tick??

You could at least open the link he provided. Here is a screenshot.

    Security gateway bypass

Exactly where does that plug in on your 2500? Does not look like it would hook up to you Bus blocks. Is the connection location easier to get at than the Bus Blocks toe Kaodtech hooks up to?

Did Lubegard Biotech kill your hemi tick??

Found a picture that should help clarify. Burla was right as usual, very helpful.

Did Lubegard Biotech kill your hemi tick??

Since Burla says 30916 is the same stuff, I will take his word over pretty much anybody else, but thanks Sling. Since this one ships to Canada, even with exchange and shipping it is a bit cheaper than buying it here. The 12 pack on Ebay, that Burla posted, is cheaper yet, by a lot, even with...

Did Lubegard Biotech kill your hemi tick??

Amazing how much the amazon.ca price went up. I bought 4 of the large bottles for 52 bucks each about 5 months ago. Now they are 90 bucks, damn near double. The Edm outlet is definitely cheaper now. Luckily I have enough for quite a while.

    Door hinge bearing

Makes sense now, thanks. A little Lithium spray Lube or even Silicone will dramatically reduce the wear you are experiencing, as well as control the rust better.

Ya I looked this afternoon and I saw nothing that looked like a crown. I would like to know too.

    This can't be right...right?

Quick_Shifter is right; Take it back to the shop that did the install and make them fix it right. They obviously screwed something up. You paid them to do the lift, you shouldn't have to be fixing their poor install. How did they road test it and not notice the bounce you are?

    bilstein 5100 shocks on Stock 2500 4x4

Did you fail to read that he has tried Rancho, as have a couple of others, and hate them for towing?

    Door hinge bearing

I still think a body shop will fix it fast and cheaper than the dealer, but if you are going in for an inspection anyhow, can't hurt to have them look.

    Door hinge bearing

So did ypu ever take it to a pro and have them look at it or are you still trying to figure this out yourself. If the later, i think enough time has passed to know the second approach isn't working too well.

Who else leaves their alfaOBD MX+ plugged in?

You can't leave alpha permaanentl installed, except in the sense it is on your phone. You cannot leave it connected to the truck permanently. I leave the security cable installed permanently. I do not leave the obdmx+ reader installed. I carry it in the glove box in case I need it.

    bilstein 5100 shocks on Stock 2500 4x4

They come from the factory with 80 psi to keep them from flat spotting during transport. pPDI should have set them to your door sticker pressures but most dealerships miss that step. Anything rides like crap with 80 psi. I run my 2500 with 45 front and 40 rear unloaded. I only air it up when...

    BW44-44 Transfer Case Fluid

If you read this thread the answer has been posted right on here more than a few times. 2016 and later is the same fluid and the new fluid is the result of the changes to the clutch packs. Buy that.

    Voltage drop

Have them test the amperage and voltage output at different engine rpm. Alternators don't usually go bad slowly, they normally work or don't but it is possible that something is weak or failed and causing low output.

    Voltage drop

Excellent points JW. Serpentine belt is an often overlooked maintenance item that can affect performance. Pulley can too but a lot more rare. Still worth looking at.

    Voltage drop

If you have massive draws on your system, a higher output alternator isn't the only thing you may need. You may want to look at installing a second battery and splitting the load between the two batteries. Typically you run the sound system off the second auxillary battery. That leaves the main...

    Voltage drop

Good luck getting an answer. Showed up June 3, 2023, got the info, last seen June 3rd. Not even the courtesy of a thank you or a post about how it gets fixed. About 95% of new memebers that come on and ask for help follow this pattern. I rarely answer first time posts anymore because of that...

    bilstein 5100 shocks on Stock 2500 4x4

You are completely wrong about airbags not helping with towing. If that was true, Semi Trucks and their trailers that are used on our highways would not use them extensively. You need to quit parroting internet lore and learn how towing dynamics actually work. You need a WDH, the right springs...
