Truck Honks When I Get Out

So you're telling me you weekly had someone lock their fob in the vehicle, someone broke the window at random, and drove off with it? I'd suspect insurance fraud if someone told me they left their fob inside the vehicle while it was locked and unattended and someone just happened to bust the...

Truck Honks When I Get Out

The simplest thing is irrelevant unless you're willing to figure out how to retrofit a keyed ignition into the system or sell it and buy a truck old enough to use metal keys. If you think thieves are randomly busting windows to push a button hoping it starts but want to return to the security...

Stellentis firing most of their employee's

Madison CJDR has some at 2023 leftovers a $9k off for 5.7L cars and $5k off scat packs. 2 door is back to being a Charger starting in 2025. No more hemi, EV or turbo inline 6. The pictures they've released look pretty nice, IMO.

Do you have something plugged in to a USB port?

Truck Honks When I Get Out

That's a big concern when you're checking your mail or opening a gate in the pouring rain? Are thieves busting windows and randomly testing push starts a big threat in your area? If the horn bothered me that much and I couldn't or wouldn't use any of the fixes in the thread, I'd just splice in...

Truck Honks When I Get Out

What happens if you have one fob in your pocket and one to leave in the truck? Does it know or care that one fob leaves if one stays?

New convert to Ram with a stupid question

Teach your daughter to respect herself and to fight and she'll take care of it. Dad's who 'scared me off' just made me pick up their daughter from the cornfield behind their house. Maybe yesterday's rednecks are different then today's increasingly urbanized youth, teenaged ones especially, but...

    question about flatbeds

Anything fits anything with the right amount of money and fab work know-how. Chances of a direct bolt on fit are similar to my chances of a top less Sofia Vergara handing me a winning powerball ticket on my birthday. (top-less is censored? What if we want to talk about Jeeps?)

New convert to Ram with a stupid question

Honestly? US currency is dumb. The bills are all the same color and size, unlike pretty much everyone else where it's super easy to tell a denomination by either. We have to look at the numbers and dead guy on it, so you're thumbing through your wallet to see where the $20's turn into $10s...

Cummins is only available in the Rebel version.

    PW redesign wishlist

WTF would you want duals on an off road oriented truck? Already exists. "Tracer graphics" like the 75A are much more subtle, and you can order with a graphics delete entirely. Off road oriented truck, taller sidewalls are the better option for intended purpose. The Rebel is what you want...

Did the power rams have a hood ornament?

As an add-on, I saw a Cummins / Manual truck where the owner had taken one of the old hood ornaments and made it into the shift knob. The ram was face down so the horns provided roughly the same curvature as a ball would. That's been over 20 years ago and still one of the coolest little mods...

New convert to Ram with a stupid question

Ha, yeah, that's missing the most crucial step. Paying any interest eats up the kickback pretty much immediately. I haven't had a monthly balance in over 20 years or a car note since 2016 (I leased for 13 months then paid it off because it worked out to be $1k cheaper than paying cash due to...

New convert to Ram with a stupid question

I knew we did, I commented as such, but nobody uses them. The government tried real hard to get some level of acceptance. US Mint would ship them for free, which let a lot of people get a lot of credit card rewards by ordering $5k of coins, receiving $5k in coins, and depositing $5k in coins...

    PW redesign wishlist

They already did that on the transmission. The 8 speed is better than the 6 in every way, including power handling and durability. Sliders aren't bad. Rock rails, yeah, aftermarket is better than OEM. I'm with you on the gas tank, but that may be counter-productive to spare tire placement...

I like the AEV rear. The front is too much.

Pass. Worse approach angle and kind of Jay Leno-esque profile don't do it for me, personally.

Or just roll them and deposit them at your bank, assuming you have a local branch.

    My '87 1/2 ton did.

They have at least done market research / consumer focus group studies on it. No idea if there's any progression beyond that.

Only thing I'd like my 75A doesn't have is a telescoping steering wheel and a larger fuel tank.

Feds to require automatic braking by 2029

I drove a '75 Blazer for most of my high school years, blew the motor just before I went to the Army, and bought a Camaro because it's pretty much mandatory for a junior enlisted guy to have a car that eats half his pay. :D Bought a '71 Scout for bad weather. If you want to be absolutely...

Feds to require automatic braking by 2029

Yes, and it's largely my generation's fault. Gen Xers with all the kids out of the house, disposable income, an attitude that largely involves '**** it, I could be dead tomorrow', and a strong sense of nostalgia for the truck our dad or granddad drove back in them good ol' days.
