Hey everyone i recently bought my 2500 acouple of months back and it sits pretty high, i was wondering if someone with stock springs could measure from center of front wheel hub to fender or ground to front cab corner. Im reseaching lifts now and different possibilities i could do and i would like to know if the previous owner put different spring on. Thanks.

Edit: i just measured mine and from the center of the axle nut to the bottom of the fender i have 25"

If they put the CTD front springs under a Hemi it would probably ride like an old stagecoach. The CTD is about 1000 lbs more than the Hemi.

Oh it rides like a dump truck, i just assumed it was supposed to ride like that since its a heavy duty truck. I had a rotted out f250 before this and that rode like crap and at work we have 1 tons that have the very stiff suspension so i just figured this is how they rode. I had a 03 1500 that had a decent ride but it didnt have the solid front axle. And now that its looking like they changed the front springs it would explain why theres not that much rust on the truck and yet the front springs have a decent amount of rot on them.

The only real difference is spring rate. You very likely have the stock springs it came with. The diesel spring swap used to be a common swap into the 1500s but was never really a thing with the 2500s

Well i wouldnt put it past the guy who owned it before me after coming across some of the other stuff im finding. But the truck looks fairly level and i dont see any spacers under there so im not sure if he did diesel springs or maybe those 2 1/2 inch husky leveling coils, but either way i was hoping someone can chime in that knows they have stock springs with a measurement to put this to bed.

If it helps here are pics of my truck, i know not the prettiest but this is all part of the transformation. The tires are 285 70/r17 which is equivalent to 32.7" tires aparently.

When I bought my 2014 2500 new the mechanics told me everything under the front end of a hemi was the same as the CTD. Does anyone know for sure that this is not true?
