On the evic I used to see 13.7 to 14.2 on the highway.
On the road today at 60 mpg, I saw 13.3 to 13.5. Don't understand the lower numbers.
Engine off I see 12.7.
Anyone know what it is supposed to be, and when it's too low?
I've used walmart bags successfully and tie it with the handles. Works well. Prior to that I observed the birds looking at themselves in the mirrors so folding in should work too.
I looked at Scott HD testing many dozens of ceramic coatings on YouTube and that is guy is deadly serious and really smart. He buys the coatings himself out of pocket and seems to not be influenced or bought by anyone. His testing is thorough and extensive with as many as 30 coatings tested...
Good idea to connect to tailgate leds so you won't need a switch. Don't know the wire color. No doubt thousands of 1500 owners would like to do this, esp if there is no factory prewiring.
Don't know if I already have 3m adhesive or not, so replacing adh. might or might not help.
The real problem is the faulty design. Prior Stampede models mounted to the painted metal at top of doors. Some idiot designed these to mount to a fat rubber strip near the door top. Problem is, they...
The part that gets me is that the manager at Stampede flatly refuses to discuss an apparently defective product. Their policy is like "the customer is wrong." Who does that?
For $100 I bought the Stampede flimsy plastic fake chrome window wind deflectors.
They "rock" or fit unevenly when placed on the flat rubber above the doors as per the directions. It misses fully flat adhesion by 3/32". In fact, if you fully depress the self sticking corners, they AUDIBLY POP...
Shop foreman at a Ram dealer says it is likely sediment blocking the flow. He says mfg leaves some sand in the block casting and it collects in radiator bottom. We'll see if a small piece of wire, used carefully will clear it.
To Wild One with the 3 Dodges... or others who know, Did you ever have to pull out on the plastic petcock? Some blogs mention turning out 90 or 180 degrees and then pulling out. Mine wont budge.
(I realize this plastic part is a PIA and a waste of time, and the hose is the better way, but...
It's not a 1/4 turn. This thing is course threaded and after several turns the petcock outer shell is backed off 1/4" away from the radiator. Still no flow.
Backed out 1/4" it's a hard stop. Like it's going to break if you keep turning.
All the videos show these draining just as soon as you begin to open the petcock.
I've watched several videos and they all show unthreading the hex head plastic petcock a few turns and radiator coolant is supposed to flow out of a round tube just below the petcock. Tried a 10mm allen wrench. Same result.
Petcock unthreads about 1/4" then stops. Don't want to break it...
