    RAM is Down!

Keep waiting for a conclusion to this, but its hard to believe this is still lingering. Maybe its time for this truck to accidentally stall on a set of train tracks?

Birds Keep Sh!tting on My Side Mirrors

When ever we go camping, I have to cover my mirrors with a bag and fold them in. Cardinals this time of year are pairing up for nesting. And they "see" themselves in the mirrors and attack and spit and poop on the truck. We were some place in indiana at a state park, where the cardinals...

Well this was not nice - computer did a hard reset I guess.

We have two FCA vehicles and so far both have done something similar. It will ask you if an update can proceed, from the over the air routine. Then it may take some time for everything to come back to life as it updates. Mine however didnt reset all my settings though? We did have the blank...

    Gas vs Diesel

Two of the most important words......exhaust brake. The cummins has it for trying to stop heavy loads, its awesome.

Getting an appointment for dealer service

I think it really boils down to where you live. Around me I have two dealerships, within 30 miles. I have gone to both for warranty, amd recall work. Averages about one week to get in. The NAV issue is most likely your radios software. My radio wasnt over the air updating, and they had to...

    Oily residue

If its a 4WD, you might check and see if the CV boots on the front wheels are not compromised?

    A perfect 10??

Nope, there's just no way I can. And they charged me $155 for the labor on the filters too.

    Key FOB - Proximity?

The touch and go feature is definitely an option. And I have found my FCA fobs seems to like to be kinda close to work everytime.

    A perfect 10??

Well I took my 2022 2500 into the dealer for some work today. My wife talked me into letting the dealer do some of the things I always used to do for maintenance basics. Anyway the dealership always sends me an email after a visit, asking for me to fill out the future FCA survey with all 10s...

Help! Can’t decide how to upgrade

The diesel option is another $10k. My first thought after reading your thread, I think the gasser would be better option. I have always done the 3.73 gears as well.

    Engine hours/oil change interval

I change mine at least once a year. I too, dont drive mine much, as it it used mainly for towing my RV, not daily driver. I pay no attention to the hours logged.

    Which mud flaps

I have always installed mud flaps on my trucks when new. Usually went with the mopar ones as they are form fitting and thru online places are reasonable.

    Intermittent antifreeze smell

I had some warranty work done three years ago to replace the water pump in the CTD on one of my trucks. And I still smell coolant when warm. I think that OAT coolant type smells and lingers more than the older stuff did? I have several FCA vehicles, the only vehicle I own that doesnt smell...

Looks like I'm never buying RAM again...

Have you seen the majority of the GM trucks, both large and small.... is now a turbo 4 cylinder. Like others here have already said, times are a changing, and I doubt it its going stop. Honestly for a 1500 series truck, which I would use like a car anyway, it wouldnt matter what engine it had...
