New 2024 RAM ?
I've owned 7 - 5.7 Hemis in trucks and several in cars. The only issue I had was on my 2012 at 163K and my 21 Limited at about 25K. Bolts on the 2012 and manifolds on the 21. My 22 is over 90K and has been flawless. This isn't really a big problem.- Truckit

2025 Ram 1500 First Drive: No More Hemi
We have the same head engineer that designed your 5.7 Hemi designing the new 3.0 SSTHO. The hemi is an outdated good engine that needs to be replaced. I wanted my dog to live forever but it got old and died. Just like the hemi. Time to move on.- Truckit

Hurricane durability questions?
The 2006 300C with MDS that I used to own has almost 400,000KMs (just shy of a quarter million miles) and has never been opened. I see it on the road regularly. I have yet to hear or read of a bad 3.0 SST in the Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer trims. Yes I have heard of many bad Hemis. After 13 great...- Truckit

What kind of mileage are you getting with a Hemi and 3.92 gears?
2022 Ram Limited eTorque, loaded long box with 3:92 gears. Over 47574 miles I averaged 16.56 MPG US. I idle alot while on the computer and phone. Some trailering and loaded miles. This includes Canadian winters. I always use the cheapest gas I can find because I am cheap! LOL- Truckit

Looks like I'm never buying RAM again...
Premium fuel is recommended for the SST HO but is not required. The SST does get better fuel mileage than the Hemi. Of course the HO doesn't. Why would anyone expect the extra horse power for no extra fuel? The Hurricane Jeep engines have been great. Tell me which straight six engine is a bad...- Truckit

My dealer ordered me a 24 loaded Limited that I don't need to take if I wanted a 25. I am waiting on a 25 Tungsten. The Hurricane engine is proven. I trust it before a Hemi 6.4 and yes I have owned them as well. In fact I've owned 13 5.7 and 6.4 Hemis from 2006 to 2022.- Truckit

2025 Tungsten ordered
I've owned 6 different Longhorn and Limited models but I ordered a new Tungsten. My dealer had ordered a 2024 Limited for me but I decided not to take it. One determining factor was the discount for fleet in Canada is considerable smaller on a 24 than on a 23 or 25. I guess Ram thinks people...- Truckit

3:21 rear vs 3:92 gas mileage?
I have driven almost a million kms on Hemi 1500s. Eight new ones starting in 2007. I have owned all 3 ratios and trasmissions. I only order 3:92s now because of towing capacity and drivability. Well that’s disappointing
I have or do own 12 hemi powered vehicles. Including a 19, 21 and 22 DT 1500, all with etourqe. I don't want another non-etorque 5.7L. There is a lot of fear because of misinformation. Yes, including on these forums.- Truckit

I would never buy a truck without eTorque because non eTorque trucks use an alternator! Imagine having to repair and pay for alternators out of warranty! Guess no one has ever done that yet except me! Ok OK, I'll go back to my desk and get back to work.....;)- Truckit

On 2022 models, eTorque does shut off the engine before the truck is completely stopped. That is the way they work for 22 but not previous years. eTorque uses the generator to "bumpstart" the engine rather than using the 12 volt starter during stop/start.
