Update: after everyone's suggestions I think it's been narrowed down to the radio. After pulling and replacing the fuse, the noise happens less frequently and in shorter intervals. It doesn't seem to cause a parasitic draw on the battery so I will leave it be for now. Thank you all.
Yeah my coworker has a Durango and said his makes the same noise. Maybe it's somewhat normal but people never notice it because they don't just sit in their vehicle with it off for extended periods of time.
I think you were spot on. I pulled the fuse and it seems like the noise stopped. It luckily started as soon as I went to lunch today so I had time to test. I am going to try and replicate it this weekend. Would this indicate that the radio needs replaced or is it as simple as a new fuse?
The confusing part is that it happens after the truck has been sitting for hours. It would be one thing if it was a few minutes after I turned it off. That clip I posted was during my lunch break after 5 hours of sitting there without being turned on. The battery was only using power long enough...
My 2017 ram has been making a squeaking noise after the truck has been sitting with out being turned on. It doesn't seem to be a coolant leak or any bearings that could be making the noise as it hasn't been turned on for hours before making the issue comes up Any ideas what the issue could be...
