Changed battery for the third time in 5 years. They only last 2 then kaput.
Same here my 2017 is on 3rd battery. Second one I bought i made sure it had full 5 year replacement warranty. So 3rd one was free! And probably the next!
Interesting your batteries have failed in this timeline.
Parasitic draw perhaps?

I did however, replace mine as a predictive and proactive maintenance measure, maybe six months or so ago as my 19' had a delayed start up.

I upgraded to an H8 AGM Interstate battery as well. Easy upgrade and it has made a real improvement on start up, and even more so as I have a 2100W upgraded audio system, too ;)

Yeah interesting indeed, no parasitic draw. My alt puts out 14.5v, cleaned all connections and ground. I have the $350 agm 1000 cc from crappy tire. ( second one now) only thing i can think of is my truck only gets driven a few miles a day. That being said I started putting a battery tender on in every sunday and it takes over 24 hours to top off.

The little driving may be a contributor to the issue.
A battery tender is a good idea, especially if you're engine is only doing short drives on a continual basis.

I hauled off 1864 pounds of scrap metal off from my job last Saturday and Thursday, I had the differential oil changed in the rear end after having it rebuilt about a month and a half ago and today I changed the u joints because the mechanic that changed the rear end oil said I had a little bit of slack in the rear u joint.
I still find it hard to believe I believe I put that much weight in my truck and it’s only a half ton. It rode really nice and smooth but handled awfull.

So I searched the forum for a thread like this and didn't find anything. I figured it would be fun to have a thread that everyone can watch what everyone is doing each week.

This week I put on Steelcraft nerf bars, and right now I'm getting the permaplating put on the truck. This way it gets a real good bath.
I’m going to Quick_Shifters shop, ak_trucks_pa, to reinstall my shocks & get an alignment. He sent them to Accutune to have them rebuilt, had Bilsteins on while waiting for the shocks to get done.
I have no complaints regarding the Bilsteins but am happy to get mine back. I’ve said this before but if you need any work done on your truck & you are anywhere within few hours of his shop do yourself a favor & make an appointment.
Going to see him is like hanging out in your favorite barber shop but instead of a haircut you get a true professional who isn’t satisfied until the job is done right!

Well - did something different this past week! Ordered a set of running boards from Oedro last Saturday, they got here Tuesday, and I installed them that evening. Was pretty easy to do. Here's a few pics before with the stock running boards, and after, with the Oedro (red inserts) - and yes, I know she's dirty! I user her daily, have a 1/4mile dirt/mud driveway, and don't have time with commute and all to keep her 100% detailed!:DSC_0227.JPG

I had a great time at Quick_Shifter’s shop, shock switch went smooth as silk, my truck usually likes to fight upgrades/maintenance like a dog going to the vet.
The alignment feels perfect, a leveled truck with 35’s, drives better than stock IMO.

Looks great! Wish I could make it out to his shop for work on my truck. Hard to find honest shops that do great work these days. Glad to see another happy customer!

Replaced the pass LCA due to a bad ball joint. I sent it a little too hard on the Dragon  Pretty sure this was the beginning of the end

I'll order and replace the driver's LCA soon. Was going to do the CV shaft as well, bought a new one but the old one wouldn't come out. The boots were still in good shape and it still felt and moved good so I left it.

It was finally time. New batteries! 2 AGM batteries with a 4yr warranty and a pair of new wipers....... $420!! Ugh. The old ones were Mopar replacements dated 02/2019 w/ 2 yr warranty so that didn't matter. And actually only 1 was bad.
These are the first AGMs I've bought and best price from Wally World with longest warranty dated 10/2023. Hope they last. Every where else was over $500 for a pair with 3yr warranty.

I did the same after last winter in a cold snap (-20s over night) when I had 1 go bad. Same batteries I bet. We had another cold snap but not as bad (-10s) and they did great. I went with the warranty also.
