I've never been a huge fan of the "murdered out" look either, too much black on black on black.
There needs to be some color contrast IMO.

Just today, my brother again suggested the whole "murdered out" look. The said the black on black would look cool. I agree. It will look amazing. I saw a couple of trucks on here that look awesome. However I told him, its way too commonly done. When I said I saw a Toyota Yaris "murdered out" today, he sort of changed his mind; "Yeah, now that just ruined it."
It's not that we don't like Toyotas or think that a Yaris cannot be blacked out, but when you see such vehicles with that look, you kind of get the picture that it's way too common.

Hence for now, my concentration is getting something like this done.. beast01-2.png
Yeah.. I know its a Ford, but let's forget that for the moment. With that kind of a brush bar in the front, a lift and a good set of off road lights and a winch, the truck would look great.

I think you will like the black look. Wife wanted a good mix. She wanted more black then chrome, but the new Cherokee L is hit and miss since they are so new.

Late to the party......

As mentioned previously it really whatever "you" prefer.

Having a black truck with chrome, I have noticed that there are a lot of "Blacked out" trucks... just not RAM's out there. In fact, it's when I see one with some chrome that it really catches my attention.... in a good way. Others are more of " .... Ah, another Blacked out truck. Looks good and at least it's a RAM.

As a rule of thumb, I've discovered that if you have chrome bumpers.... then go with chrome side steps & wheels. If the steps are AMP's, then it really doesn't matter as you really cant see then unless extended. Think shoes, match the belt, match watch.

Chrome does take more upkeep, but when it shines....... it shines :waytogo:

After reading through this thread yesterday really made me reconsider the route I was going with my Warlock. I even looked for "blacked out" vehicles on my way home yesterday and did not see any in 37 miles. Anyway, I have decided I'm going to add contrast to mine. Really love some pf the things mentioned in this thread!! Thanks!

With the bumper setup of the Warlock, I'd say your truck looks great as is. Its pretty much "blacked out" already. I would just give it a good lift and tires to complete the off-road look.

It's close, but got to thinking that I want it to stand out a bit. Think I'm going with blue as the contrast since I already installed some blue chrome trim in the cab. Thanks!!

Chrome bumpers...So I blacked out the emblems, and got black wheels with accent bolts...I try to make the chrome and black play off each other. Not sure if it's a success, but I'm too cheap to buy black bumpers.
