RAM Computer Download

Got a download just as I stopped at a restaurant for dinner. Screen said I could not drive the truck and to put it in park along with some other instructions. So I shut it down and we exited the truck. Could not lock the doors or do anything. It struck me that what if there was an emergency? Cannot drive the truck???WTF???? When we got back from dinner the download had changed my settings, basically back to when I bought it. But...I cannot control my cab heat like before. I have an icon on the top corners of the screen that shows a seat where I used to have a temp setting. Cannot control the heat with the buttons like before. Only by going to the comfort screen and move the sliding bar up and down. I will be going in for an oil change soon and ask about this but I sure don't like the way it was done. Or the result. Have no idea what else they screwed up but I'm sure I will find out soon. Radio was back on channel one and had to reset some options in the comfort settings but at least I was able to drive home with heat.

Update...looks like everything came back to normal. sorta. I can use my temp buttons again. But there is some different appearances and I probably will notice more changes as I go along. Still do not know what this download was supposed to accomplish and it would be nice if RAM would tell us. I'll just remain in the dark which is what they would like anyway.

U talking about a OTA u connect update? If so them d/l’s can f u b a r stuff up.
