My 3.7 is burning 3 qts every 10k miles, should I bother w oil changes?

I have a 3.7L v6 w 196k miles on it. Takes 5 quarts of 5w30
I buy the 20k oil but I change it every 10k or less.
It consumes 3 quarts every 10k miles.
At that rate of adding oil, should I even bother with oil changes since a new quart is coming in every 3k miles?

Filter still should be changed to ensure it is allowing good circulation.

First off its a 3.7 they need a oil change every 4k miles they sludge up ive rebuilt alot of these 2 things make these engines burn oil stuck PCV valve and bad valve stem seals .

Would you recommend I use regular and change it every 3k miles ?

you can do 4k miles on regular oil usually what I do on these engines any oil that says 10k is full of it i get so many engine issues in the dealership from people believing the 10k oil intervals manufacturers do this so your engine blows up early lol.

3 quarts with 10k miles is not a big deal. Stop buying that super magic 20k oil and put regular synthetic in it and change it every 5k to 8k miles. I'd never let my truck go 20k miles without an oil change even with super duper oil.
