2015 Ram 1500 SLT QC 5.7 2WD, 187k miles as I write this.
160k of those miles are mine. Never any engine work except oil changes, pcv valve and plugs at 100k miles. I run 87 gas almost exclusively. Oil changes every 10k miles.
Have read a bunch of stuff on here about PEA cleaners, and was tempted to run the Gumout product, Regane, it's called, I think.
Will be gong on a 800 ish mile trip very soon, and am 1500 miles from my next oci. Was tempted to wait until returning to change my oil, even though I will be a couple hundred miles over.
So, do I run 1 or 2 bottles of the gumout on the drive, and change oil on my return, or not run Gumout on the drive, just do instead at some point after my return?
I know things can happen at any point, but looking for my fellow Rammer's thoughts.
I appreciate all advice, thanks.
