Previously had a '95 1500 and a '04 1500..most recently was running a '96 Chevy 2500HD diesel (what an underpowered crap box that thing was...) that started having major issues about 1,000 miles from home on a big road trip, and decided I'm just sick of always working on my old junk all the time...so I went hunting for something new. After having a small heart attack over the prices, because the last time I went new truck hunting was about 20 years ago, I ended up picking up a 55K mile 2017 2500 CCLB 4x4 diesel. Appears to be the proverbial bone stock grandpa truck, complete with the big ol' camper shell, which is exactly what I wanted. Well, except for the camper shell, lol.
I have zero desire to start messing with tuners and the like, though just adding a few off road oriented mods as it will become my primary camping truck, and I almost exclusively find places deep in the wilderness, so just some better tires, adding my 12K winch, some lighting upgrades, and my ham radio gear.
