I Drive a 2015 Ram 2500 4X4 6.4L Hemi
it currently has 147,000 miles I have had engine service every 6,000 miles and trans serviced ever 30,000 miles. Other than the normal srvices I had the smashed pipe removed from the back of both cats and had a true dual exhaust install that increased power and mpg. The most I have towed is approxamately 10,000 lbs it pulls like crazy. I have resently started to have the truck shutter wen taking off and some times it acts like a slip, There are no codes in the truck indicating a problem.
The motor temp use to run at 1/4 and never vary much, within the past month it sits at 1/2 and will vary by 1/4 never and more.
My question is have I push the limits of it's reliability with the motor and trans at 147,000 miles ? trans has been serviced regularly, spark plugs replaced at 15,000, cooling system has been flushed with new thermostat. Is it time to send it down the road ?

For the gauge, wouldn't jump to any conclusion about the engine, it could be a bad sending unit/sensor, not sure how the computer reads the data to send to the dashboard.

Shutter could be a number of things. Could be a broken spring or other item connected to the suspension that causes connection to road through suspension to be "loosened". Bad u-joint, broken or loose lug nuts, exhaust system loose, slipping transmission, all kinds of the things could cause the issue. Visually inspect what you can, shake things, put up in lift and look for damage, try running with a heavy loaded trailer and see if shutter gets worse if all else doesn't find a problem. Quite possible that the issue can be removed more cheaply than buying a new truck and a used one could have different or more problems.

Could also be a bad torque converter.
