LED Tail Light Issue - Blinker Hyperflash

I have a 2016 Ram 1500 Laramie which came with LED lighting. Both of my tail lights have several LEDs which have gone out and thus is causing the LED tail light out alert and the hyperflashing blinkers. I have purchased multiple new sets of replacement lights (same style as OEM) and none of them seem to cause the alert or flashing to go away. I have purchased the OBDLink MX+ adapter and the AlfaOBD software. I followed the guidance on and changed the settings listed with one exception. I could not find any reference in the 2016-17 module for CBC Config I/O Usage: Separated Lighting Brake Lamp Dropout. The only setting I had to actually change is the LED Reverse Lamps Present which was "No". The other LED settings were already set to "Yes". I am on my 4th set of lights and still do not have this resolved. Can anyone provide any more feedback which could help me resolve this before I have to send this set back?

You should not have to do anything with programing. That should all be plug and play. If you are having issues with multiple sets, I would begin to look at your actual vehicle wiring harnesses. Look for any corrosion, burnt, or discoloration. Maybe try some dielectric grease. Maybe a grounding issue?

Thank you for the response. The first two of the four sets worked properly (no hyperflash and no dash alert) but the lights were not formed properly so the screw holes would not line up to secure them. I changed brands and now the lights fit properly, but the hyperflash continues. I will look into the terminals and the grease. I think the lights may be defective. What brands are good aftermarket replacements? Mopar wants almost $400 each for them.

Wanting to replace factory incandescent bulbs (head, tail, turn lights) with LED bulbs. I've read about issues with hyperflash, adding resistors, bulbs with resistors and internal fans, noise, some going bad shortly after install. Looking for recommendations. Thanks

My vehicle already had LED lights. My issue turned out to be defective lights. I had to replace both of them 4 times from 3 vendors before I got lights that worked. Also, I had to disconnect the battery for 20 minutes to reset the computer to get it to relearn the new lights.

My truck had LED tails already. But I just upgraded to the Morimoto tail lights with LED reverse bar. Very bright. But Very expensive. Mine did come with a resistor pack to avoid the light out notification on the dash. No hyper flash issues.
