The oil that touches the sides has passed through the filter medium. And that oil is moving. Better to put the magnets on the oil pan and remove them before changing the oil.- Zoe Saldana

Engine hours/oil change interval
1 hr of idle equals about 30 driven miles. You have 6900 unrecorded miles. Also consider that idle time might be one of the causes of the 'hemi tick'.- Zoe Saldana
