    Went from a leaf sprung Chevy to a Coil spring 2009 Ram. Same trailer on each with 485 pounds tongue weight on a cat scale. Chevy settled to level from a little rake, Ram dropped to dang near the bump stops. Nose up attitude affected handling and it bottomed out on bumps. No problems like that...

    550KG is you payload (1200 pounds), not the towing capacity. Although unless you are towing a boat you will max out payload with an RV before towing capacity.

    I thought everyone was just wedging a socket extension behind the hub then using the steering to push the hub out. That may only work on 2WD.

    6.4 towing hold back trouble

    Did you compare cruise + tow haul to without cruise (I’m assuming you are running without cruise) and see if the computer behaves differently? All of the 4th gens I’ve towed with are early 6 speeds but cruise+tow haul and manually setting highest gear has given the most predictable downhill speed.

    You don’t have to drop the transmission on the 5.0. You have to remove the sway bar, cooler lines, and then jack the rear of the transmission up off the Cross member. 3.5 and 2.7 you don’t have to Jack up the rear of the transmission.
