Intermittent no start, click troubleshooting 2015 Ram 1500 Big Horn 5.7

Nope, jumping pins 3 and 5 will eventually get starter action. Ruled out WIN mod and RF mod. neither consistently have issues, only common denominator is the solenoid on the starter, which will bring a hole new starter into the picture, I'm not changing pieces of a whole and only use new parts.

Intermittent no start, click troubleshooting 2015 Ram 1500 Big Horn 5.7

Noted, that's the next step if it continues to be an issue. Swapped out the starter relay yesterday after the one click, pulled the old relay, jumped pins 3 and 5 in the TIPM, starter turned. Time will tell, thanks for the info.

Intermittent no start, click troubleshooting 2015 Ram 1500 Big Horn 5.7

Ken, I'll get the pin out setting and test it, thanks for the info. (side note) When it fails to start it will do it with both the key and/or remote start feature if that has any bearing on the issue.

Intermittent no start, click troubleshooting 2015 Ram 1500 Big Horn 5.7

2015 Ram 1500 Big Horn 5.7 Intermittent no start, single click, jump out of the cab, seconds later hear another second click from fuse box. Checked relays, reseated them. 12.4 volts at the battery. Changed the battery twice now 1 year apart of each other, no love. When finally fired up have...

    water in rear cab

Nothing to see really, rubberized electrical taped 2 together, cut to length and cleaned the area, stuffing in down as to not go past the top lip of the box defeating the tight fit. Stays in place, during all driving, washes, etc.

    water in rear cab

Quick and inexpensive way to stop failing cab vents from leaking water and stop leaves, small branches from going between your rear cab and front box. Clean all the debris from the flashing at the bottom of your rear cab and front box. It also has the added bonus of limiting or completely...

Mysterious Brake Issue 2015 Ram 1500 Big Horn

Yes, it was the master cylinder. Changed it for stock new, flush and bleed the entire system. Dealer had to flush and bleed the ABS portion. Everything was done April 10, 2023. No intermittent issues nor breaking issues. Plungers/seales (internal piston) on the old one were chewed up. Don't put...

Mysterious Brake Issue 2015 Ram 1500 Big Horn

2015 Ram 1500 5.7 8 speed Big Horn. Had a fading pedal intermittent, drained fluid, refilled, bleed in sequence, seemed to cure the issue. Few months later noticed master cylinder cap, expansion rubber gasket was popping in like a fluid loss. Fluid levels were spot on, no leaks, etc. Pushed the...

Affordable, effective Tuner, turn off MDS only

So your saying just hit the - to enter the mode and that's it? it will still disable MDS and not effect the shifting patterns. Needing to do each time you enter back into Drive and nothing further? I always assumed that if you activated it in say, 3rd that it would be the top shift ratio, your...

Affordable, effective Tuner, turn off MDS only

I already use the - + controls on the wheel, works well thanks, but shifting all day long and wanting MDS off for pulling out is the goal. I saw the pulsar has the option on setting #2 but it's cost prohibitive for what I wanted to do. Maybe it can't be done but so far I'm amazed that someone...

2015 Ram 1500 Big Horn Headlight issues

The ones I removed appears to be aftermarket no Ram / Mopar branding around the lens edge. It's frustrating for such a simple thing but hay, 6 inches to low at 25 feet on the aiming board, real world all light terminates within 75 feet distance, no where near good enough. It's getting to the...

MDS off, increase throttle response, maybe update tires size

2015 Ram 1500 Big Horn, crew cab, 5.7, 8 speed auto, 2wd. I'm vagally familiar with AlfaOBD and what it can do, been watching a ton of vids. Question is is there an alternative and less costly option to turn off MDS? using the controls is fine but every time you shift directions, going through...

2015 Ram 1500 Big Horn Headlight issues

Well, purchased from AT, clear headlights, still not high enough. Rake is only 2 inches higher in rear (Stock). Best I could get lights adjusted were -28 inches. It really needs to be around 34 for 25 foot range setting as the light centers are at 36 ground to center. I have the old set I took...

2015 Ram 1500 Big Horn Headlight issues

Previous owner must have replaced the headlights, Halogen, 4 bulb, slightly tinted. I can't align the low beams sufficiently as the elevation adjustment maxes out, low beams are to low, high beams can spot planes, so I'm guessing they were manufactured incorrectly for the light paths to split in...
