The truck is quiet for sure. However, the ANC is designed to reduce low frequency noise in the interior. You probably knew that. The reason people have noise issues when replacing front door speakers that emit lower frequency sound and when a subwoofer is added as well is because the ANC doesn't...
Probably right on here ↑ however, my sub amp is true 1500w RMS and amp powering front speakers is 1300w RMS. My electrical doesn't skip a beat. People get attached to terms such as "the big 3" and "HO Alternator" when the stock system will do justice 90% of the time. Now if your pushing a 5000w...
Amplifiers will not present a constant load to the electrical system. Music does not pull full power 100% of time you're listening to it. Sub amps pull more than amps to the rest of the system but about the only way your 2000w sub amp is going to draw full power is if your running a 30hz sine...
That stinks. I'm sure you're beyond frustrated but, it is rather simple to bypass the ANC. You can do so under the drivers seat or purchase a bypass module from PAC-audio.
Need to double/triple check the following:
Input level button.....out
x-over knob......probably start with it straight up and down and then adjust from there
check your sub wiring.....is it correct for the type of subs you have?
BTW, are those subs 2ohm or 4ohm?
Good idea not to inform them of the speaker change. Just another reason for them to deny warranty. Glad they are changing it for you. Doesn't surprise me the amp failed. They are of poor quality.
Should be located behind the pass. backseat. If your window sticker states "subwoofer included" then I would say you have a bone to pick with your dealer.
Can a $100 set of speakers sound as good as a $1000 set? Possibly, maybe or possibly doubtful. What sounds good is definitely subjective for the most part. We hear things differently.
With that being said, personally, I've never witnessed a $100 set sound better than a $1000 set. And now that...
Well 6x9's have more surface area and volume which is a plus when comparing speakers. However, there just are not many manufacturers that put a lot of effort in producing high quality 6x9's anymore. 6.5 is really the way to go. There are many more speaker options to choose from. Simple 6x9 to...
This is me to a T. Except your ears have about 6 yrs on mine.
Music is overly compressed nowadays.....probably more than in the past. It depends on the type of music as well. Rock music especially from the 80's is mixed mostly with bass/drums lower in the mix.
Terrestrial radio - stinks
XM -...
@brunzca is on the right path.
Listening to each speaker by itself won't tell you much. I have a higher end aftermarket system in my 23' Bighorn and if I isolate each speaker....one might say Wow! that much money doesn't sound great. Now listen to the system as a whole and everyone that I have...
Hopefully anyone reading this will learn from the OP's situation. DO NOT connect speaker wires, power cables or even ground cables to an amplifier while running your stereo. Simply disconnect your neg terminal from the battery before installing audio products.
The risk of amp damage, stereo...
A trucks shape and form factor alone makes it extremely difficult to achieve great fuel efficiency.
Manufacturers have a set of protocols and procedures in place to measure fuel efficiency. Seriously doubt any truck owner constantly drives on a flat road, with no wind, average perfect...
No doubt. Loved the late 80' through the 90's car audio. Boston, MB Quart, Alpine, Pioneer.......it was great! Nowadays, with the intro to sophisticated DSP's........you can do awesome things with sound in an automobile. I've only recently jumped back into the car audio world.
The frequency response charts that manufacturers publish are NOT what you are going to see when you install the speakers in a car. Most likely not even close. They are measurements that are measured under perfect circumstances in a very controlled environment. Once you install a speaker in your...
The primary issue with using small (3/4") tweeters in the dash corners is that they are not overly capable of playing frequencies lower than say 3khz. That means the speakers in the lower doors must play up to 3khz. Typical and less expensive speakers won't do this very well. yes, they can...
1 pair.
I had gs25's in the dash corners and Stereo Integrity TM65's in the lower doors. I just added tweeter pods with Focal tweets and Focal 3" mids in the corner dash. I don't use the center speaker nor the rears.
I responded a little late. I recently removed my AF gs25's and went with a traditional mid and tweeter. If you get some Christmas cash you want to burn let me know. The Audiofrog's are just sitting in a closet.
