Anyone with a 4th gen manual/hemi? I need a part number from your computer.

As stated. 4th gen manual with gas engines are pretty rare. The simplest way to do a manual trans swap is to get a manual trans truck computer. Every search I do comes up with a Cummins computer which won't work. The search will be much easier if I have a good part number. Thanks in advance.

5-45 RFE swap to manual, computer issues?

Knowing the limitations of the 5-45, and rather than going to the 8 speed auto, with it's costs and issues, plus the fun of driving a stick, I'm debating going to a manual transmission. The wrenching part of the swap is a non-issue for me, my biggest concern is making the computer happy. I've...

    Used exhaust, suspension parts.

Since I've installed headers and catback, and lowered the truck, I've got the old parts for sale. All parts are from a southern RCSB 2WD truck with about 60k on it, are in great shape, and offers will be considered. Will go to scrap in the spring if not sold. Most parts are heavy or large and...

    Graphics color advice wanted.

My truck is Deep Water Blue, sort of a dark blue. I am looking into some graphics for it. I don't want a huge piece, I'm looking at a stripe that runs from the rear to about the side mirror, just a bit under the lip of the bed and windows, or I might do the hockey stick on the bed. Also...

    5-45RFE normal operating temp?

Since we all know that heat kills transmissions, I'm trying to decide if I need an extra cooler. I do have the Vararam intake, which partially blocks the oem cooler, so I drilled 3 rows of 3/4" holes to allow air through it to the cooler. Plus I added a PPC large pan with 3 extra quarts of...

    Trans cooler or what???

I was looking my truck over and initially I thought I had an extra cooler up front, but it appears that it's dead end lines??? They come from the trans and connect to the top of the A/C condenser. How does this work? The fluid can't possibly be the same, can it? The condenser doesn't appear to...

Anybody scraping crossmember on pavement, how much ground clearance?

I set my truck on the ground with the 285/45/22's on it and measured the transmission crossmember to the ground, I have about 4.5". Since I'm going to a 30" tire, I know I'll lose an inch, and with my Street Works exhaust, the cat hangs about an inch lower than the crossmember, so that will be...

    Cam/parts recommendation.

Truck has just over 60k on it, long tube headers and cat back exhaust. Intended use, mostly cruising and car shows, with a few runs down the strip mostly just for fun. I won't be racing on a regular basis. I'm considering a cam swap. I think I mostly want that sweet choppy idle, a little...

What is the extra, small tube for on the front pipe of the passenger header?

I've seen this little tube somewhere before, but I can't find the info. It a small, maybe 3/8", maybe 3" long, tube that goes from the first pipe up to the head on the passenger side. The boss in the motor that it goes into appears to dead end. The old manifolds had a dead end hole and a hole in...

    Thumbs up for Moes.

I had a set of ARH headers ordered from Moes and was waiting on them to be built and shipped. Got a call from Matt (Moes) and was told they are having trouble getting stuff from ARH and weren't sure when they would be shipped. So, they offered me a set of in stock Stainless Works headers for the...

    Poor exhaust work!

Just to move to a different, lighthearted topic, this is the muffler outlet/tailpipes on my truck, not very good, huh? When I have the exhaust apart to do the headers, I will correct this. Ignore the brake cable, I just put it there to get it out of the way while I do the IHC brackets.

Issue with IHC 4/6 lowering kit ball joints.

Installing my IHC 4/6 kit and having trouble getting the supplied lower ball joints to seat all the way, I'm unable to tighten the nut enough to get to the cotter pin hole. I called them and was told to get an impact wrench and tighten away. I usually run the nut up until it touches and then...

    545RFE vs 68RFE vs 46RE?

OK, so we all know the issues with the 545RFE, some people recommend replacing it with the 68RFE, BUT what about the 46RE? I just saw where Coperacingtransmissions has a kit to replace the 545 with the 46 or 47, for about $1600 (2wd). We know these trans have been used in many performance...

    Street/strip tire advice please.

Truck currently has 22's, 32"x9.5" tires are like new. I have a set of 17's that need tires. I am lowering the truck and am concerned about the 22's rubbing, mostly the front. The truck is going to be a nice summer driver, taken to shows and dragged occasionally. I have another truck that is my...

    Cab mount bushings?

I removed the tubular side step, because I'm lowering the truck, I think it will scrape the ground, and because I'm not a fan of them. This is what's under it. I'm guessing there should be a rubber bushing, am I right?

tire size change vs rpm change

I'm going to 17" from 22" tires and wheels, and I might also have to go to a smaller tire to clear the fenders after the lowering kit. Currently my 22" tires are 32", I'm looking at 17" tires that are 30". Has anyone swapped tire sizes that much? how much rpm change did you see?

Will 15" wheels fit the rear?

Wanting to pick up a pair of better tires for the strip, I see 15" are pretty common, so will 15" wheels fit my 2011?

Which front shocks for 4/6 drop?

I was under the truck and noticed some oil on the front shock, so I need/want new ones. Truck has 60k so due anyways. What are you guys using? I'm going to be installing the IHC 4/6 drop kit over the winter and might as well replace shocks at that time. Their kit is supposed to be able to use...

    4th gen rear diff posi/locker?

Is there one? The only thing I can find is the DetroitLocker, Yukon, type which requires R&R of carrier. I remember a type that simply removed spider gears and replaced them with a ratchet style locker. Can the 5th gen rear diff, or other, be swapped in? Will the axles interchange to keep 5...

New here, not new to Dodge/Ram.

On another site without much traffic, thought I'd check in here. Owned 7 or 8 Dodge trucks, just bought a "toy" 2011 R/T for summer fun.
