    Rattle after suspension work

Sorry for the delayed update. Checked front end links, turns out the driver side one had come a little loose, so retorqued that. Greased the front UCA ball joints which I hadn’t done yet (they did come greased from the factory though). Also, installed new Core 4x4 greasable rear end links...

    TRQ brake rotors

So, I've used TRQ parts before (thru 1aauto) to replace almost the entire suspension on my wife's '09 Jeep Liberty: struts, shocks, front UCAs and LCAs (including BJs and bushings), rear LCAs; as well as front drive shaft, and front and rear brake pads and rotors. The quality and fitment seemed...

Icon 1.5” or Superlift 2” Rear Colis?

Wish I would have came across this thread before I bought my rear springs. I went with ICON 1.5" rear coils for the Ram, converting from 1.5" motofab spacers w/ stock springs. The height was perfect with the spacers, gave me a true 1.5" lift and about 1 1/4" rake with my front Bilsteins set at...

    All terrain tires

I could also recommend the Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLTs, I have them in 275/65R20. They look aggressive, but not too aggressive. And they do great in the snow (NE native here). Ride quality is great, not rough at all even though they are load E rated. Very quiet too.

    MDS vs ECO

2016 1500 5.7L here. So, two case studies from me. I started out with the Pulsar in-line module, which has several modes and each has an MDS On or Off option. Whenever I had it an MDS Off mode, say Performance/MDS Off, I would never see the ECO light turn on. If I was in Stock/MDS On, the...

    Rattle after suspension work

Hmm… I just got my Icon rear 1.5” coils in the mail, so I will check those rear shocks bolts when I put those in. It’s actually 21mm, I remember because I just installed some Bilstein 5100s a couple weeks ago and I had to buy an extra wrench to cut down into a stubby. To me, it feels like the...

    Rattle after suspension work

I just replaced the front sway bar end links with some MaxxLinks for 1-3” lift. Haven’t had much time on them, but I think the rattle/jiggle is still there. Also, right after install, I was driving on the highway to work and experienced noticable vibration above 70 mph. Nothing below that...

    Rattle after suspension work

Thanks @mrack, I will give the wheels a shake to see what sort of play is there. Would this present a different sound/symptom or anything I could distinguish between a bad joint vs bearing? Wheel bearings usually make a grinding noise when going bad, I think.

    Rattle after suspension work

This makes sense to me as there would be more tension on sway bar and such. Luckily, I have some new front and rear end links on order with Nick@GotExhaust (sorry, don't know how to properly link profile). I will see how things are after installing end links and retorquing everything down in a...

    Rattle after suspension work

Drove all the way home from work this afternoon and did some errands along the way: highway and stop/go city driving with plenty of potholes along the way. Couldn't reproduce the rattle. Weird how it is so intermittent. I have the hemi tick from from a broken header bolt on start up, I wonder...

    Rattle after suspension work

I am planning to go over and retorq everything again in about a week after the new suspension has settled more. Could someone check my work on these torq specs: Outer Tie Rod End to Knuckle: 45 ft/lbs Front End Link to Swaybar: 20 ft/lbs (thought this seemed low, but couldn't find a different...

    Rattle after suspension work

I don't recall noticing it while accelerating on level ground, but it has only been 2 days since install. I will give it a few pulls on the way home to verify. Lol, Lincoln residents would be piqued to know they are considered unworthy of the 5-story club. :Big Laugh:

    Rattle after suspension work

One additional note: I have to go up a ramp to the parking garage at my work. I noticed the rattle very distinctly when accelerating up the ramp. I thought this odd because it’s not “bumpy”, just at an incline. It happened each ramp I ascended up to the 5th floor.

    Rattle after suspension work

Just installed Bilstein 6112s @ 2.8" (came preassembled) along with ReadyLift UCAs in the front, and 5100s with 1.5" Motofab spacers in the rear. I was pretty meticulous about torque specs and tightening everything up with suspension under full weight. I got a professional alignment done day...

Alright guys.. BILSTEINS post your pics!!!

Stock height, brand new 275/65R20s Cooper AT3 XLTs. Debadged. Bilstein 6112s @ 2.8” and ReadyLift UCAs front, Bilstein 5100s and MotoFab 1.5” spacers rear. Still have 1 1/8” of rake which is about what I was aiming for. (Some Icon 1.5” rear coils on the way.) EDIT: Measured again after...

Lifted 4th Gen Pics - Show Em Off!

Just want to add that I settled on this setup in large part based on a lot of info and feedback in this forum, which was really invaluable. Got exactly what I was looking to achieve (which differs from person to person), and happy so far with the resulting ride quality and aesthetics. So...

Can you tune a factory pcm in a 2017 ram 1500?

Pulsar advertises +30hp/+30tq on performance mode. There's a youtube vid where guy dyno'd before and after, saw +25-28 peak whp & wtq increase. I think there was actually higher gains in the mid-range. Definitely notice the throttle response, took me a couple days to not squeak my tires at...

Can you tune a factory pcm in a 2017 ram 1500?

Full disclosure: I'm already thinking of upgrading to a full tuner, though. Possibly wanting to do the clutch fan delete + V6 efan mod, which I would need a unlocked PCM & tuner to take full advantage of in order to adjust cooling fan temp.

Can you tune a factory pcm in a 2017 ram 1500?

An inline tuner module like Pulsar would be another option if you don't want the hassle of swapping PCMs. I bought one a couple months ago (~$600), simple in/un-install and gains are enough for a daily driver just looking for a peppier ride. Changes tire size for speedo correction, too. Can't...
