With the valvoline restore and protect i would recommend buying a few filters because if your engine is filthy it will clog the filter relatively fast change the filter after 500 miles cut open and inspect repeat as necessary
The odd thing is nothing was loose i checked connections at trans and ecu fluid level is spot on cleared the code and it has not come back “yet” a fluke oddity maybe ?
2013 ram 1500 65rfe trans had a check engine light used my diablosport i3 platinum to check the code had a code p0740for torque converter open circuit i cleared the code and it has not come back yet any ideas
Fairly certain the iac is part if the throttle body try cleaning your throttle body or at least inspect it back side is probably covered in residue many videos out there on how to clean and inspect throttle body a pcv delete / oil catch can helps to reduce this
As for the best brake pads i dont have a answer because i dont know i just use what i use autozone used to have lifetime pads so you use them then swap them for new for free not sure if they caught on to their mistake yet but more recently ive been using power stop pads from rock auto never had...
I personally didn't like the factory 203 thermostat doesnt leave much room if you get into a overheating situation ive heard ram did this due to epa chasing more mpg and blah blah its a v8 its not much but i went with the 3rd gen temp of 192 and since i rarely see over 200 temp
So you did a e fan swap and 180 thermostat did you have it tuned to have the fan come on at lower temp as well and how does your heat work in the cold ive always been told the 180 was a little low when i did mine i went with what the 3rd gen had 192
As for the temp spike after modification i have no clue but you shouldnt have need to extend the harness there is videos and write ups of how to reroute the factory harness so that it will reach the e fan conversion i did the same conversion on mine a while back
2013 ram 1500 5.7 65rfe looking at modification to improve drivability came across a product by somnax the line pressure booster kit rfe-lb1 anyone have any experience with this product good reports bad reports no issues with trans just looking to improve if possible thanks
I appreciate the advice i truley do my only question i realy had was if i should go ahead and install the upgraded extended travel articulation cv’s as i already have to replace them any way or keep stock style oem seems to be prefered but they sure are proud of them $$$
