Agree here…I’m no engine guru and i did no statistical analysis but math tell me this much… the seemingly disproportionate number of issues with the 5.7 MDS engines is because there are far more 5.7 MDS set ups out there. I’d also venture a guess that 90%+ of drivers don’t know what MDS is or...- CBake

I know I’m bumping an old thread… sorry… sort of. Took my 2016 to dealer. They agree it’s driveshaft. Not just the lube/ clunk but a slight shimmy. Whew! This was my thinking as well. I was hoping this entire forum was full of police, linesmen and road crews. I want to be diligent but when I sit revving at the red light, dudes keep getting fired up wanting to run. Explaining myself is embarrassing :)- CBake

How many miles on your 4th Gen Ram
32,415 on my 2016 5.7 Big horn. just bought it… I’ve only put about 200 of those miles on it. I was thrilled to find it, and I love it. I’m learning the quirks… fortunately (hopefully) not many. The driveshaft clunk threads got me here while researching what I DIDN’T feel on the test drive...- CBake
