    bilstein 5100 shocks on Stock 2500 4x4

For towing I would do the bags like mentioned. Airlift 5000 bags are simple to install and help a ton for towing. Shocks alone will not really help with towing. The problem is the springs that ram uses for a better ride but will allow the rear of the truck squat when loaded down. I know nothing...

    bilstein 5100 shocks on Stock 2500 4x4

The 5100’s do fit the 2500’s. Had them on my last 2500. Check out shock surplus. With that being said I don’t think your going to get a softer ride going with the 5100’s in fact I believe the 4600’s were designed for a softer on road ride while the 5100’s are better for handling off road things...

RAM Dashboard Replaced with the help of @RamCares

Hard to believe this is still happing on newer vehicles. You would think it would have been resolved after all the years happening with these dash boards coming up. I had the same thing happen on my 2011 grand cherokee overland. It was one of the main reasons I got rid of it at the time...

    UDYSPWGN “Build”

I have a 2016 power wagon and Im curious as to what oil temp you were getting pulling your trailer. My coolant temps and trans temp are great but noticed when I pulled a 20ft cargo trailer that probably weighed 5000lbs total and my oil temp got up around 240 on a 65-70 degree day. I didnt feel...

For the guys who think deactivating the mds via a tune is a good idea

Never an issue with the one I have. It’s been in 3 different trucks now and operates great. Sometimes I even change modes on the fly without issue. I have heard stories of issue with some but so far so good. I have the hikeit x9

Plug in a throttle controller and you will never feel that lag again even when mds is active it’s very quick to respond.

    2024 3500 air suspension problems

I think he meant 5 thousand miles. That’s how I’m reading it anyway. He only had 700 lbs in the bed

    2014 2500 6.4 what to look for

Thats quite the expensive one there. Almost 1800 bucks before core return. Honestly know nothing about next gen but it looks like it’s made well. I’m sure it will be a great one regardless and will work.

    2014 2500 6.4 what to look for

Same color I have on my power wagon. Beautiful color in the sunlight. Has alot of green and blue metallic flake in it. As far as the valvebody goes you are correct that is a weak link in the trans and so is the solenoid shift pack. I have seen the destruction first hand and its not pretty. I...

Should I buy a Power Wagon with high miles?

I don’t suggest going over tow rating but can add air bags to help if it’s an issue with sag. It helps a ton with squat and stabilizing everything while towing. Just add cradles for off roading.

    Intermittent antifreeze smell

It could be a leak coming from the egr coolant lines under the intake manifold. The leak is small and usually won’t see the coolant until you pull the intake itself. I believe it’s a common issue on the 6.4 hemi.

Good transmission shop in Edmonton ?

I’d say your capable for sure. I put a sonnax in mine which are reman oem with upgraded components and they have been machined flat to get rid of the warping. I can’t really comment on other brands but I know revmax and ats make them.

Good transmission shop in Edmonton ?

Sounds more like the solenoid pack to me. They are a known issue along with the valvebody. I don’t want to tell you to just start throwing parts at it but if it were me I would change the valvebody and solenoid pack together. If you are comfortable doing it then I would definitely do so...

    2017 6.4 HEMI 3500 SLT wont start

I would check the fuel pump. Should be able to hear it come on when you turn the truck to run. Check and see if you have fuel pressure.

    Synthetic Oil

The 6.4 is still continuing from what I understand. Just the 5.7 is going away I believe.

    Synthetic Oil

Don’t think the 5.7 heavy duty’s ever got the mds at all. When the 6.4 was put in the trucks that’s when mds started I believe.

8HP Swap on 2018 and older PW?

I agree. Mine is like Jekyll and Hyde. One day it feels great and the next feels terrible. Sometimes it feels very sloppy and can’t figure out what gear it wants to be in. I’ve kind of gotten used to keeping it in 4th so it doesn’t even try to go into overdrive around town or on backroads. It...

    Synthetic Oil

Yeah I agree. Why mess with something that works but I guess the small amount of hemi’s that use it aren’t important enough to keep the same formula. At least the 5w30 seems to be doing well.

    Synthetic Oil

I’m not sure if it’s new or old formula but it is what is in my truck now. I’ll have to check a bottle for the date code. I knew almost immediately it was quite a bit more noisy compared to the 5w30. I only tried the 0w30 because of winter but I can’t even say we had cold weather here this year...

    Synthetic Oil

Same and nope I didn't like it in my 6.4. Its not a knock on amsoil as I still run it in everything else I own including my wife car. Amsoil 0w40 SS just didn't like my 6.4 as far as sound goes or maybe the 6.4 didn't like it. I'm sure it was protecting well but I couldn't handle the ticks and...

    545RFE Problems after Diablo tune

Doesn't sound like a transmission issue to me. Sounds like programming to the trans is at fault. I would reflash the back to stock if possible and go from there. Im sure a relearn was done to the tcm when trans shop put new one back in but I would be certain they did. But Im betting its a tune...

Change your rear diff oil if you haven't yet and clean those lockers!

The differentials on these trucks do not have paper gaskets. They are reusable rubber gaskets. Just want to clarify this in case some one gets confused or reads this like they have paper gaskets. But they do not have the groove for an o-ring like the banks cover which is a great upgrade.

Change your rear diff oil if you haven't yet and clean those lockers!

Yep still reusable. Unless you have a tear or its leaking the gasket isn't going to deteriorate. I have had mine off and back on a couple of times without issue.
