This truck is my special project. Once I decided to keep it I had all 5 wheels brake calipers, rotors and wheel bearings replaced. Then moved on to water pump, power steering pump and coil packs, and spark plugs. A month later I replaced the alternator, put in dual batterys, cold ait air with...

    CB Radio Issue

How about this. Wire the radio directly to the battery. What I mean is run a # 12 wire with positive and negative leads, such as a speaker wire direct to the battery and connect it to your radio. I am retired now but have massive experience installing commercial radios into all types of...

Anyone have experience with these lights

Hello Guys, I have these lights, purchased from Amazon, on my truck. My advice to you is that if you do not have a basic understanding of low voltage lighting and wiring enough to perform the installation and modify the system so that the error codes do not show just stick with OEM products...

Has anyone experienced this battery issue before?

Check alternator, and the reason the things were going crazy was because of low voltage.

LED upgrade complete, now throwing multiple errors

Sounds like you have some sound advice here from responders. I will give you and others planning changes like this and that is to know a little bit about canbus systems, which you can learn over the internet and always use resistors on non modified canbus systems. Government trying to hunt me down

Ok, Cut the red wire. Then locate the antenna wire and cut it. Then you should have 3 wires. Use a volt ohm meter to locate the ground, in case it isn't black. Which ever colors of the two remain connect them together, restoring the ignition. Job Done.

    OEM Battery Life

My 2004 RAM with 4.7 made it to 88 K on original battery. Replaced with two Yellow top AGM batteries. Had to remove the OEM air intake and add a battery box rack on the right side and run some 2/0 cables and hook it all up. Here in KY we have all types of weather, but the AGMs have lasted to...

Just did the H11 to H9 conversion.

Sir John, No insult intended. There are many types of ferrite materials and some do not insure the desired outcomes. I don't know if you tried installing with the radio on and tuned to a distant station or not. That is what I did, I disconnected one side of the lights at the transformer and...

Just did the H11 to H9 conversion.

Here are photos showing what the part looks like and where the placement is. I have a set of lights for a friends truck, so I showed the placement with them laying on a table. The first pic is showing placement on my 2004 ram 1500. If you look close you can see two ferrites the one in the...

Just did the H11 to H9 conversion.

Ok, Did you use the exact part number ferrite? The ones that I use simply clamp around the wires, install is a no brainer. The distance is not critical from 2 to 4 inches should be sufficient. I have used this method on various HID installs and one install that was OEM, but was giving...

Just did the H11 to H9 conversion.

I love my HID s.As far as reliability, I have not had the first issue. When I decided to keep my 2004 and not trade I went with a custom paint job, new wheel bearings, rotors, calipers all around. New universal joints and also a complete AC rebuild, all components including fans, radiators...

HID radio interference cure. I just looked up the part numbers for what you will need to cure the problem completely. When I installed HIDs I could not hear anything but the closest stations. To cure the problem order two part number 17842FL ferrite chokes for each HID bulb you need to quite...
