Phone overheats while using wireless charger

In general, I think you should be able to do this just fine. May depend on the age of the phone (battery condition), and how many apps you are using. My phone does get warmer when using my bedside wireless charger, running more apps will make it warmer as well. Maybe try plugging the charger...

    2024 Camping Season Campsite/Tow PICS

My first trip is scheduled for June right now, will post something when I go. Maybe before that if the gods are with me. Have a few upgrades to do first. That is a lot of trailer, but it looks like its comfortable for sure.

    All going away..

I would have thought that if someone doesn't know what a dipstick is they shouldn't be driving, but here we are. Most people never take the plastic covers off the owners manuals. Drivers Ed classes are terrible at teaching kids how to drive, and don't even get close to checking oil, coolant or...

    All going away..

I know lots of family members and friends who NEVER pull out the dipstick. The assume that the engine doesn't use oil, no need. Just take it in for oil changes when the light comes on. This is probably done partly to protect the engine and warranty. Get a light on when it's a bit low, and maybe...

    Know forward gears

My guess is that you have a broken motor mount. Now, when you start to move, the motor tilts (left or right, depending on which one is broken), and it moves the transmission shift cable. Happened to me in my fathers '67 Ford Country Squire.

    jams up while spinning over

I had a Pontiac that did that many years ago. It was the timing chain. I believe it jumped a tooth. I think valves that should have been open were in fact closed, causing the compression to lock the motor. Replaced the chain and gears and it started right up.

    Paint Job?

Hard to imagine it will be less than $1000 - 1500 based on my experience. How old it the truck? How particular are you? It's on the roof, no one outside of the NBA can see it, you might consider a bit of sandpaper, primer, and cover it with a rattle can of the right color. It won't be perfect...

How to disengage auto park on a dial shifter when door is opened

Buckle the belt. Probably a good idea anyway if you are going to be leaning out. There is always a chance of losing your balance and falling off the seat. Or - put in 4WLow. It won't go into park.

    Adding trailer brakes

Have a look at the documentation for this controller if you like. The bluetooth connection allows you to manually apply the brakes, and make adjustments to the sensitivity. But - The controller will work fine without the bluetooth connection once everything is plugged in. If the bluetooth fails...

    Adding trailer brakes

I got one of these for my travel trailer last year. https://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Brake-Controller/CURT/C51180.html Seems to work fine. Trailer brakes kick in as they should, can be adjusted as needed, and if you mount the phone on the dash, there is a button you can press to activate the...

    Cybertruck 1 Ram 0

I would bet that there is more damage to the Cybertruck and meets the eye. Also, will probably cost more to repair, even if it doesn't look like it.

Center Console Rear Cup Holder Removed

I would think that you will need to pop that faux wood trim off, put the cup holder back in, than snap the trim back. Just need to be careful not to break the trim getting it off.

    Emergency brake cable hanging down...

There is a lever at the wheel end of the cable. When you apply the emergency brake, the cable pulls the lever, which engages the brake shoes. The lever gets stuck, doesn't move back, and the cable sags. I have had good luck with some penetrating oil and a screwdriver. Spray the pivot point, work...

    Whos Got Mud Flaps ?

I have had a set of these on my 2017 1500 since 2018. They have held up well. They were easy to install, did have to drill one hole as I remember. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AX7O5XM?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 Looked at the Ram ones, they had a Ram logo on them. I figure that...

Rear headrest fit on front seat?

The headrest in the passenger side on my truck is turned around because my wife found that it hit her in the back of the head, drove her crazy. She is short, about 5 ft tall if that helps, No issue for me on my side, so I didn't turn the drivers side around.

    Hello from NH

If the body isn't rotting, and it isn't in the shop for a problem every month, I would keep it. The resale value isn't going to be great, even if it is in terrific shape, so it will be costly to upgrade. If you can hang on with what you have for 3 - 4 years, they will have the bugs worked out of...

Codes P0455, 0456 and 0457. Dealership wants to replace gas tank

I'm sure you're right. I believe I meant the purge valve for the evap system. On my truck, its located on top of the engine, in the front. Wasn't expensive, easy to change. Like this -...

Codes P0455, 0456 and 0457. Dealership wants to replace gas tank

I would test the EGR valve first. Not expensive, easy to change. I had one of those codes a few years ago, EGR fixed it. Don't remember which one. Dealer replaced gas cap, did a smoke test which found nothing. Gave me back the truck with no codes, but it came back in a couple of days. I found a...

2025 1500 RamCharger. Is it an EV?

My daughter has one of these. It's a 2021 I think, but very similar. It works well for her needs. Clearly a smaller battery and ICE, but the concept is similar. Electric range is more like 20 - 25 miles, but it's seamless when the ICE kicks in, has been reliable and drives very much like any...

    Just purchased a 2023 Ram 1500 and a 2023 Keystone Hideout 176BH - Tow question

I have the Echo Bluetooth brake controller, use it with my Keystone Bullet 272BHS. The brake controller works just fine for me. I made a few adjustments to the sensitivity, and have gotten to the point where the truck and trailer brakes are very well balanced. The rig stops almost as fast as...

Engine wont start unless push Automatic tranny shifter lever up (column shifter)

My father had a late 60's Ford. The shifter had to be moved to Reverse for it to start. That was the only way the neutral safety switch would engage. (It should start in Park or in neutral by the way). In his case, there was a bad motor mount, the motor had shifted a bit, causing misalignment of...

Going to put the Ram to work.

Did a trip over the weekend. Only about 100 miles total, but the Echo controller worked fine for that time. Made a couple of adjustments to the sensitivity over the first few miles, trailer brakes seem to be well balanced, display on phone shows that brakes are being applied when I use the truck...
