I have read guys on other threads with the same sort of issue if you removed the buddy seat and replaced it with a console. The truck is not locating the 3rd buckle/passenger buckle is not the same as stock bench. You can try swapping in the original buckle on the pass seat and it should fix it
Most likely the buckle causing this. The 09-12 ram are differently wired compared to the 13-18/classic rams. The Hd 5th gens apparently use the same seat bases but unsure of the wiring diffences. Looking into myself actually too. Do you have a pic of the harness?
Are the 5th gen hd seats power portion still operated seperately from the bcm? I started a thread of my own a while back with converting manual to power seats that i never ended up finishing. Now that i have some cash to throw at the project i was able to find a 5th gen hd limited seat. I don't...
I recall someone on here saying that even 4th gen trucks without the prep have to simply run a fuse power and ground to make it work as it is independent from the bcm/modules. So by that regard i should be able to use my original parts with the 5th gen hd frame and run the wires for the seat...
Sorry its been so long since i posted and had to put this project on hold. So I came at ask if anyone has used the 5th gen hd power seat in a 4th gen 1500? I heard the harnesses are different but the frame itself is the same. Now if i was to use my original bag, harness and modules. I should be...
You truely are a sad person to keep this useless and utterly pointless convo going. I'm not even going to entertain this anymore. Later keyboard warrior
I like the way you put that bud. I never claimed anyone needs to do it like me. You are the one that puckered your ass when i used the word "sketchy" and made a big deal out of nothing. I personally dont like to crawl under a truck on a driveway on a slant, period. I dont want to escalate...
Well i guess we can leave it at that. You have your way and I have mine. I suppose every dealership is doing it wrong too. Cant say i see many techs working on their backs outside doing trans services. Also never claimed to drive through the gears with the trans completely suspended. So lets...
Yea, what I did was keep the truck level and undo the trans crossmember bolts and raise the trans instead. Makes it a bit less sketchy to be under. Just my 2cents
There's alot of opinions on dorman products. Personally i've had good luck with their products. Though IMO the ppe pan pays for itself in the long run. Also those skeptical of the filtran vs oem zf made pans. My 18 ram hemi had the filtran made in usa pan from the factory. So it just depends on...
I opted to use the ppe pan and zf lifeguard 8. The difference in the way it shifts is night and day. Mind you, I did my own service at like 39k miles. You would notice a massive difference at over 100k miles. Have you ever changed the diff fluid and transfer case? Worthwhile things do change in...
I'm in the same boat, gps has me floating like 2 or 3 states away since November 2019. I'm stuck on 17.43.44 as well. Could someone share the update file? Only difference for me is my truck is originally Canadian. Thanks
