I know the Cummins 6.7 can run on B20 with shorter oil drain intervals. I have also read all the other threads on bio diesel but they have not answered by questions. I read my 2022 RAM 5500 manual carefully on fueling requirements. It is very clear that unless the vehicle is ordered with B20 option, B0 (petro diesel) is the only option. Currently, no one can order a B20 RAM with 6.7 diesel engine as it is not even an option in the pick list. In my area, no one dispenses straight petro diesel (B0) either. All of the stations I called blend B5-B20 and do not even specify the exact blend in that range or if it meets the ASTM standard for bio blends.

My questions are;

Any one get RAM to state in writing that 5/100k power train warranty will include non B20 trucks that use B5 - B20 in the tank ?

Any one fueling with B5 - B20 done oil analysis and determined based on faster oil dilution from running bio blends, what is the best time (miles or hours) to change oil ?

I have a similar questions. I have a 2012 and can not find #2 diesel. I would like advice on oil change frequency, whether fuel additives help, and frequency of fuel filter changes.

As for OCI when using B5 my 2022 stated 1 year or 15000 miles, IMO if I am using B6 or more I would go to a 6 month or 10000 OCI and use the best oil filter I can buy a Donaldson DBL 7349 and only use synthetic oil...

Here is what FCA has to say about Bio diesel:

BIODIESEL FUEL REQUIREMENTS
Pickup Models
Your vehicle has been validated and approved for
the use of biodiesel in blends up to 20% (B20)
provided that you comply with the requirements
outlined below. It is important that you understand
and comply with these requirements. Failure to
comply with Oil Change requirements for vehicles
operating on biodiesel blends up to B20 will result
in premature engine wear. Such wear is not
covered by the New Vehicle Limited Warranty.
Biodiesel is a fuel produced from renewable
resources typically derived from animal fat,
rapeseed oil (Rapeseed Methyl Ester (RME) base),
or soybean oil (Soy Methyl Ester (SME or SOME)
base). Biodiesel fuel has inherent limitations which
require that you understand and adhere to the
following requirements if you use blends of
biodiesel greater then 5% but not greater than
20% (B6-B20). There are no unique restrictions for
the use of B5. Use of blends greater than 20% is
not approved. Use of blends greater than 20% can
result in engine damage. Such damage is not
covered by the New Vehicle Limited Warranty.
Fuel Quality — Must Comply With ASTM
Standards
The quality of biodiesel fuel may vary widely.
Only fuel produced by a BQ9000 supplier to the
following specifications may be blended to meet
biodiesel blend (B6–B20) fuel meeting ASTM
specification D-7467:
 Petrodiesel fuel meeting ASTM specification
D-975 and biodiesel fuel (B100) meeting ASTM
specification D-6751.
Fuel In Oil Dilution — Must Adhere To
Required Oil Change Interval
Fuel dilution of lubricating oil has been observed
with the use of biodiesel fuel. Fuel in oil must not
exceed 5%. To ensure this limit is met your oil
change interval must be maintained to the
following schedule:

Oil change intervals should
not exceed 6 months in either case. Failure to
comply with these Oil Change requirements
for vehicles operating on biodiesel blends up
to B20 may result in premature engine wear.
Such wear is not covered by the New Vehicle
Limited Warranty.
 B20 Biodiesel capable: The engine may suffer
severe damage if operated with concentrations
of Biodiesel higher than 20%.
