Hello,
Looking at buying a 24 3500 limited. Are there any major concerns in light of recent Stellantis news reporting?
I have a 1500 ecodiesel that’s been good to me. Just wondering about the Cummins.

The CTD is arguably one of the most reliable diesel engines on the market. Its aftertreatment system leaves a bit to be desired.

In light of what recent Stellantis news reporting? If you mean are they going to stay in business, I sure wouldn't worry about that. Too big to fail.

You can find reported problems about the CTD, but coming from a guy who says his Ecodiesel has been good, then surely you don't pay any mind to the naysayers on the interwebs. The biggest problem you'll have with a Cummins is everything attached to it. The Aisin trans is a good unit, but all of the electronics in the rest of the ship will cause you pain. You will experience dead pedal and false transmission neutrals, all of those being normal in that unit.

I dont think my '22 has the same trans but it has been good so far. 33,000 miles. some of that towing a 10,000# 5th wheel.

My current '24 has been flawless (knocking wood), and even the Aisin has better manners than my '19 did. Two of my friends both just got '24 3500 HO/Aisin as well. All brands can break. Don't let the current shenanigans ***** you. Holy smokes, s-p-o-o-k got censored? WTF.
