My active air dam went kaput and the dealer wants $1600 to replace. The only reason I’m getting it repaired is because the engine began to rev when the vehicle coasted between 30 and 15 miles an hour. It would rev from 1000 rpms to about 1500rpms.

Has anyone had this issue before? It’s hard for me to believe that the active air dam can cause this issue. Full disclosure, my truck was diagnosed in august of 2023 and didn’t start with the reving issue until July of 2024.

GO to Mopar Owners site and make account if you do not have one. Check for their extended warranty for front air dams. My 2019 has that extended warranty, check and see if U qualify. Warranty extension X96 posted 20 Jul 2022. You find this listing in the recall section of the mopar owners site.
