I have a 2016 big horn with halogen interior bulbs.

Is there a brand of LED that works better than others?

I assume I need (4) 194 and (2) 578 bulbs to take care of the footwell, map, and dome lights?

Do I need canbus? If they flicker, is there a setting I can change in AlphaOBD?

Thanks.

I replaced every bulb on and in my truck (minus headlights) with VLEDs from vleds.com

I have had zero issues and they work very well. Great prices and shipping times also

I just got mine at Advanced auto parts, walked in, got em, installed in a few minutes, simple and worth the upgrade.

My dome light flickers and sometimes doesn’t come on. Does anyone know what the issue would be? I bought them off amazon, m maybe that’s the problem?

Share the link of the light you bought on Amazon.

Take the bulb out and pinch the metal tabs together a bit. The flicker is caused by them not being tight enough on the bulb and it loses contact when the truck moves or the doors close

Based on this thread popping up (thanks for making me spend $80+) I went to Pepboys and got a full set of Philips LED.

5x 194W (2x Drive/Passenger front footwell lighting 2x Map Lights and 1 upper glove box )

https://www.amazon.com/Philips-Ultinon-Bulb-White-Pack/dp/B077G61NB7?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1&psc=1

1x 578W (Rear Dome Light)

https://www.amazon.com/Philips-Ulti..._1?keywords=philips+578&qid=1580827051&sr=8-1

1x 561 (Under hood light, when with these because of the twisted hooks)

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073VFDFN7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Now, I have a 2015. Occasionally the interior lights wont come on with the door opening. But if the vehicle is running (remote start), it always works when opening the door. When I don't remote start, the lights come on after I start it, then dim until shutting off like usual.

I went ahead and bought a set of 194 and 578 green LED bulbs from amazon...partsam is how they were labeled I think. So far they’ve worked just fine; not terrible for $18. I’ll take a pic tonight and update this reply.

No the interior lighting is not monitored by computer (BCM) they are simply light bulbs that can be replaced. Remember Alpha changes settings in the truck's computer it needs to know about for different reasons (are my exterior lights LED, Is the VTA turned on or not, Does the truck have a cargo camera or not) the settings inform both the 7" EVIC and the 8.4 Radio so it will display the proper features. I upgraded all my small bulbs interior and exterior (third brake light and third brake lighting to LED ) and what a difference! No Alpha needed. For LED bed lighting however you do need to use alpha is my understanding.

See my post #3. I put those in MY 2016 ED, no issue.

Put in MY 2019 Hemi, major PITA, but do able.
