I have a Ford tech. as a neighbor and he has mentioned several times that parts that look like OEM factory Ford parts in factory-looking boxes are indeed aftermarket phonies. I think price is usually the give away that a part is not true OEM.

I feel your pain.
On my 2004 Ram 1500, I put Moog Hubs on. I think the driver side hub/bearing came apart and the wheel came off at about 45mph, making a sharp left turn and rolling the truck onto its side (from what I am told) and landing right side up. The hubs were about 7.5 years old and up until that point, seemed to be fine. Still not sure what actually broke, but, something did and the hub is the most likely culprit. Ended up int the center median wondering why I was stopped and why my shoulder and ribs hurt. Why was my windshield broken and why my steering wheel kept spinning around and around. Truck was totaled. It really did a number on the front suspension. Sucks, as the truck was in great condition.
