KEYFOB Battery for 2015 RAM ?

I have a 2015 RAM and am still using the KFOB from when bought new. That would be 8 or 9 years now. When does the battery in the KBOB need to be replaced ? Am I going to be completely stranded if the KFOB battery dies ? What am I supposed to do. Replace KFOB ( expensive ) or is there way to get new battery? What is the recommended replacement life ?
